Datum 34: Slowly but Surely

Start from the beginning

I held the controls tight and opened the communication line. This is it. This is my fate, I guess.

The sudden surge of adrenaline flowed all over my body, as I take the commands and the flight itself. I dont even know the last time I held an aircraft controller.

I felt the strong and heavy force of the whole craft resting on my hands when I finally turned the auto pilot off. The strong winds and the unstable turbulence then made my hands shaky on controls.

I clenched my teeth as I grabbed the main control rod with all my strength, pulling it up and getting us out of shits.

My hands wanna give up , but theres something that keeps on convincing me that I can do it. Something that kept on telling me that I had been here.

I pressed my eyes on the controls. I saw the fuel indicator flashing its red alarm light. I knew that this plane will not be able to make it for another hour.

Cold sweat flowed through the sides of my face as the voices of agony and fear keeps on trying to bother my senses. I gotta do something!!! Think hard Von! God damn it I swear!!!

I immediately swiped my palm on the sensor map and a blue hologram of our geographic location and altitude details came flashing right before my eyes.

We were just few miles away from our destination. I quickly opened the communication lines towards the control tower of this plane's destination.

"Mayday!! Mayday!! Mayday!! This is flight 485-L of Dubai Airlines! We are in desperate help! Please acknowledge!!"

I clenched my teeth as nothing was heard from the command speakers. Napailing ako nang magsimula nang mangawit ang aking mga kamay.

I cannot just give up yet!! Hindi pwedent hanggang dito nalang!!

With one deep breath, I gathered my remainint strength and once again opened the communication lines.

"Mayday!! Mayday!! Mayday!! This is flight 485-L of Dubai Airlines! We are in desperate help! Please acknowledge!!"

The following plead had some feedback of screeches that somehow made me felt a spark of hope. Agad akong palapit sa speaker.

"Can you hear me!! Please acknowledge!"

"This is the command center of Dubai International Aviation Airport. Request for open communication established. Distress signal acknowledged."

"This plane was hijacked by unknown group of people. 11 in total count. 2 casualties involved. Pilots dead. I need an emergency hatch for landing!"

"Information acknowldeged. Pilot code please."

P..pilot code? What the hell--?

"I am a civilian pilot."

"Both civilian and professional pilots have pilot codes, sir. May I have your code so that I can grant access to youre request."

For a moment natigilan ako. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang isasagot ko. I dont even fucking now what a pilot code is. The fuck.

But I am here stuck at this sticky situation thanks to that fucking old geezer na hindi ko na mahagilap kung nasaan na. At this point my mind somehow threw a random number series out of my head.

"2407-0X5"

Those random code from my head bluttred out from my mouth. Damn.

"Verifying... Xavierhled Military Special Code verified. Will be processing your request as soon as possible and you may utilize the southern airport hatch for the emergency landing. Personnels will be dispatched. Thank you."
