Chapter Forty-Four

Start from the beginning

"Because of what?" She cuts me off impatiently.

"You are so arrogant, low-tempered, too possessive, and-"

"I will stop doing it if that is what you are worried about." Her face fills with hope.

I curve my brows up, showing that if she is so sure about it.

"Uh, not at all. I mean, I can be a little possessive, you know. I can't just let some men have their ways with you." She says, her eyes darken.

Look at this monkey. After all, she is still a possessive type. I know she can't quit it easily.

"Ok, let's me test you a little."

She nods instantly.

"Can I go out and have dinner with my male co-workers?"

"NO!" She looks down at her feet.

"Talk to them after work?"

"Of course not," She sighs deeply.

"Can they buy me some coffee?"

"I can buy it for you."

"Lisa!! You are the CEO here. Can't you act like one?"

"If I am your girlfriend, why bother other men to do it?" She reasons out.

When I don't speak, she says, "I know we never broke up after the accident, and I won't, so whether you like it or not. You still my girlfriend, technically."

"Have I mentioned that you are also a dominant type?"

She grins, ending with a slight smirk, "Oh baby, you don't have to remind me because I know who I am."

"That's why I couldn't agree with your offer." I bite my lip, preventing myself from laughing at her emotion right now.

She looks slightly angry and annoyed at the same time, yet she tries not to disclose it to me. "Jennie, please." She crawls towards me.

What is she doing?

"Y-you don't need to come closer, Lisa." I stutter, trying to push her away. "I ask you again. This time, it will be straightforward. I know it's too fast, but I want to clarify it to you that you, Jennie Kim, is my girlfriend. Is it clear?" She traps me between her arms on the couch.

"Why all of a sudden you need to try to bring it up? If I still remember, you kicked me out of the hospital yesterday."

"I said I am sorry. I have been already waiting for three years, and I don't want to continue my lonely life anymore. So, whether you agree or not you will be mine, and I will treat you as one since today."

"Oh," I lose at word.

"Okay?" She leans in closer as her breath on my face. With her face this close, I can't even find a word to reject anymore, but I don't give up easily, though.

"I-"

"Jennie, I need you to answer yes or yes. I don't need any further explanation, okay? Just answer, and we will be clear. But if you don't, and are stubborn about it, I will kiss you again and again until you say what I want to hear." She says seriously.

My legs are noodles at her seductive voice before I nod unintentionally to her as if I have been hypnotized.

"I need a word, baby girl." She leans in closer and closer as I feel too suffocating to deny my need anymore, I grab her face in my hands before kissing her on the lips.

I see her smiling between our kiss as she kisses me back. I know this monkey is enjoying this so much by seeing her face lighting up. She pulls back a little to breathe, "Yes?"

Oh my god, she doesn't know the word 'giving up' means. "Yes," I mumble softly.

"I couldn't hear it. Can you say it again?" She mocks.

I glare at her, "Yes,"

"A little louder, please." She challenges.

"YES!!!!!!!" I shout, shutting my eyes.

She giggles in satisfaction before getting off me. "Jennie, I want to ask you one more question?"

I nod in agreement as she continues, "Lately and mostly, I dream of a girl. She looks like you, but not you."

"What do you mean?" I ask, trying to hide my jealousy. Maybe, she forgets that she just asked me to clarify to her that I am her girlfriend, and what now?

"I mean she looks the same as you, but not y-you. D-did I know any other girl besides you?" She asks, making me scowl even more.

"When we were together, I remember you have only me, and what the heck is that even mean? You knew other girls and hid it from me?" I sit up, straightly.

"No, no, no. I just dream of someone who looks like you, and I am a bit confused because I can't see her face clearly. She is petite as you, everything about her is similar to you, but she has a different hair color from yours."

I halt, looking at her, "What color of her hair?"

"Brunette." She answers shortly when my heart almost comes out. So, all of these times, she always thinks about me. That's why she couldn't hook up with anyone else?

"That's me, idiot." I cry in delight.

"You?" She asks in confusion, glancing at my dark hair.

"I changed my hair color," I say before flinging in her arms.

"Kitten, stop crying, okay? I know it must be you." She pats my back affectionately. I pull back instantly, "What else do you see in your dream?"

"Uh, have we ever gone to Hawaii?" She asks. I squeeze her hand to continue.

"I dreamed that we went to Hawaii."

I hold my hand up in front of her, "Idiot, you bought me this bracelet when we were there, remember?"

"And, you bought me chocolate?" She asks back when all I want to do now is slapping her for not telling me sooner.
