I felt a blush creep to my face as I took the rose and leaned over to kiss him. He immediately wrapped his arms around my waist, kissing me back. When we pulled away, I was panting for air.

"So I'll take that as a yes?" he asked, smiling warmly at me.

"Yes a thousand times any day!" I said, hugging him. He laughed.

"Come on. It's almost night. Let's set up the telescope and watch the stars." he whispered into my ear. I looked around to see the setting sun.

"Wow... Time really passes by fast when I'm with you..." I murmured. He smirked as he handed me the equipment. I struggled to figure out how to open it.

"Don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not." he said as he reached over to help me set up the telescope. We set the telescope up and he sat me down, only to pull me onto his lap.

"Wha?" I managed to say.

"Take the first view into the telescope, beautiful." he said, wrapping his hands around my waist. I sighed blissfully and looked into the telescope, only to gasp at a sharp pain that all of a sudden seared through my body. "Sophie!" Fitz exclaimed.

"Ow ow ow..." I muttered as I stumbled off Fitz's lap. I placed my hands to my pulsing head. I could hear a booming voice in my head that blocked Fitz's out.

You fool...

W-who is this? I asked.

You can't be the Moonlark like this. It hissed. Your existence from the Black Swan will be removed!

No! I exclaimed. I'm loyal to the Black Swan!

...

...

...

H-hello? I asked timidly.

Heh. Prove it. Do you have what it takes? It hissed.

What it takes to do what? I cried.

But the voice was gone. Almost immediately, I realized what the voice meant. But... I... I... I...

"Sophie?" I heard Fitz's voice came back and my vision cleared. Somehow, I had ended up collapsed on the floor and he was on top of me. I felt my ears burn.

"Get off of me!" I shrieked. I shoved him, earning yelp from him.

"Sorry! You collapsed and fainted! I got worried." he said, messing with his hair. I felt my heart pounding hard. I remember what the voice had said... I didn't want to do it. Then...

"I-i'm sorry. I'm not feeling well. I think it's best if I go back to th- um.. I mean Havenfield!" I said nervously. Fitz looked at me, concerned and then got up. He held out his hand and I took it, not able to even look at him as I got up.

"Come on then." he said as he wrapped one arm around my waist. I couldn't even bother looking at him. "Let's get you back to Havenfield. Sorry for taking you out when you aren't feeling well." he said after we leapt.

"I-it's okay..." I stuttered. I can't look at him. I could feel his teal eyes stuck on me, as if trying to see through me and keep me safe. I'm sorry... But that's not going to happen. We stopped in front of Havenfield and I turned toward him, not daring to make eye contact.

"Sophie..." he said, placing his finger under my chin. I looked away.

"Thanks for dropping me off!" I said, avoiding complete contact.

"Look at me." he said so firmly that it startled me and made me look up at his now daring eyes. He pressed his lips firmly against mines and i couldn't help it but melt in. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and that brought me back to reality. I whimpered and pushed him away, not bearing to look at the hurt in his eyes.
