"Sophie! Time to wake up!" Edaline yelled from downstairs.
"Five more minutes!" I groaned, not wanting to get up.
"Sophie Foster-Ruewen! Get your butt out of bed now!" Grady yelled from downstairs. I groaned and slammed my pillow against my face. I didn't want to get up. Never again. Why did I ruin my life?
"Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?!" I whined. I lifted my pillow off of my face and stared at it. I just saw teal eyes and a shy smile to match - DAMN IT. WHAT AM I THINKING?! I threw the pillow across the room. I can't fall in love. Especially with HIM.
"SOPHIE ELIZABETH FOSTER-RUEWEN. NOW!"
"Fineeeeeee! Coming!" I yelled back. I got up and looked through my closet. Casual clothes... That's what Fitz said. I wonder what kind of torture he wants me to sit through.

I ran down the stairs, making sure to grab a few items and shove them into a bag beforehand though. I ran down to have Grady shaking his head at me.
"Sophie... Please change. You're hanging out with the Prince today. Please make a good impression." he said. I groaned and stomped back upstairs. Knowing he meant some kind of dress or skirt, I ended up choosing:

I stomped back downstairs, glaring at Grady. He smiled back.
"Much better." he said, smiling. Edaline frowned.
"But sweetie! What she was wearing before was perfect! Fitz asked for something casual!" she said. Grady frowned.
"We have to make a good impression. Sophie is going to be Prince Fitz's Cognate! She has to make a polite impression so she can become his Cognate." he said. Edaline sighed. I simply sat down and started eating the dish in front of me.
"Where are you guys going anyways sweetie?" Edaline asked me. I shrugged as I bit down on the pale purple colored leaf like food. It tasted like sushi drizzled in soy sauce with a tiny bit of wasabi. Just the perfect touch. Delicious.
