Peter had always been colorblind, just like every other person. Well, at least every other person who didn't have a soulmate yet. He still hadn't found his soulmate and was determined to find him or her.

He currently was at school, the end of the period just around the corner. Keeping an eye on the clock, he packed his bag, ready to rush out any moment. The bell rang. Peter jumped out of his seat and rushed out to find Ned. He spotted him at his locker. "Yo man! You still coming over tonight?" He asked.

Ned glanced at him. "Uh... about that." He scratched his neck. "I can't go." "Oh no! How come?" Ned sighed, a sad look crossing his features. "My aunt died last night, so I'll be attending her funeral."

Peters smile drooped. Ned started sniffling. He hugged the plump boy, attempting to comfort him.

"Hey, it'll be alright." Ned hugged back. "Thanks man. Well, I gotta go. See ya." He let go and waved, a sad smile on his face. Peter smiled back and waved.

He headed out and got into the black Audi, where Happy awaited him.

"Hi Hap!" He got in. Happy gave him a small smile. Even though he didn't show it, he cared a lot for the bubbly teen. They got to the tower soon enough. He entered the building and waved at the receptionist, Christine.

Hello Peter. How was school?

The AI, FRIDAY, greeted Peter upon his arrival. "School was great!" He responded.

That's nice to hear. Shall I inform your fathers that you've arrived?

"Yes please!" He skipped towards the elevators.

The elevators doors opened to show the living room and kitchen. Peter stepped out and hugged his parents, Tony and Steve. "Hey kiddo." Tony chuckled.

Once they parted, Tony's face turned slightly stern. "Dad? What's wrong?" Peter asked, his big doe eyes full of confusion.

Tony smiled and ruffled the kid's hair. "It's nothing. Just that a kid will be coming over later on." Peter brightened up and gasped. "New friend!" He giggled. His dad snorted. "Yeah. New friend."

Peter giddily ran up to his room and got working on his homework.

Nighttime rolled around, and FRIDAY notified the family that the new kid had arrived. Peter bounced off the bed, down the hall, and to the elevator, waiting for the new guy to come up. The elevator stopped and opened its doors. Out came a boy with golden brown hair. He was a few inches taller than Peter.

"Hello! I'm Peter!" Peter stretched out a hand for the boy to shake. The teen grinned back and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Harley." A certain warmth spread through their chests, but left quickly after. The two shook the weird feeling off.

"So where're you from?" Peter asked. "Tennessee." The two talked for a while until something happened.

Peter started seeing blue. A beautiful shade of bright blue in Harley's eyes. He blinked. He blinked again. And once more. The color didn't disappear.

Harley started seeing brown. A dark, rich shade of brown. It was in Peter's eyes. He stared at the teen with wide eyes. Again, the color didn't disappear.
