Weekly Wattpad Contests

A Grim Announcement

Together we have gone a long way. Though many journeys and many prompts, we have stuck together and learned many new things. Whether we may be veterans or newbies, we are all a part of this wonderful community.

Because of Weekly Wattpad Contests, many bonds were formed and many friendships have endured. Since the beginning, we have seen a variety of different prompts, hosted by different judges. Whatever the results of those contests were, we all managed to enjoy ourselves and we all managed to find ourselves a place in the community.

As you guys may have noticed, we still have not released the results for contests #59, #60, and #61. Also known as the Town, the Stars, and the Muses contests respectively. There are many reasons for this, but one of the main reasons is that Contests is technically dead.

These days, there have been fewer entries coming in. Muses had only 2 entries and the current contest only had 4 entries. To be honest, we never expected that there would be so few these days. However, since everyone is rather busy these days thanks to the upcoming finals (good luck btw), it is completely understandable.

Hence, the board of judges have decided that it is time to put contest on hiatus. We will still be posting weekly prompts, however, no more winners will be announced.

However, next year, in January, it is very possible that Contests will get a revamp. Everything will be renewed. A new book, a new brand, a new everything.

We do hope that everyone understands these reasons. To be genuine, this is a hard decision as Contests has really grown on us as judges. Several of us in the team started out as mere entrants. Contests has been our home for the past few months and it is very hard to let go. Yet all must come to pass, that is simply how this world works. As unfair as it is, this is reality.

With that, we bid farewell. We shall never be truly dead. The bonds we formed and the friendship we made will remain forever. Adios.
