You loved your job of construction. You were able to put so many skills of yours to good use, mainly your math and geometric skills. You worked with some close friends which made up for the grueling hours. Plus, you did get some good payment out of it, which was always a plus. That and your boss was pretty cute. A dame if you were allowed to call her that. Her name was Cinder Fall, founder and owner of Falling Up Construction. Weird name, I know. But the fun was more than made up for it.

You worked with close friends, Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai, along with the twins Melanie and Militia Malachite plus the married couple of the group, Roman Torchwick and his wife, Neo. All-in-all, a rag tagged bunch of idiots who loved their jobs. You were working on the interior of project, mainly on the wiring and electrical work as Mercury walked in.

Mercury: So...how you doing?

(Y/N): Merc. Unless you got a cold one in your hand or have work in here, then shut up.

Mercury: Cinder's coming here.

(Y/N): Ok...

Mercury playfully elbowed you, giving you the hints. You sighed, rolled your eyes and looked down at him.

(Y/N): Look. I called her hot once! And all because she is, does not mean I'm going after that.

Mercury: That's what you think.

You groaned in annoyance as you went back to work. The wiring was relatively easy today, just attach a few things here and there and boom, you were done. Mercury stayed in the room, taunting you with jokes and some witter remarks. Sure it was annoying as hell, but you put up with the idiot. After a few more minutes of work, Emerald walked in and bang on the ground to get your attention.

Emerald: Boss wants a talk.

(Y/N): Of course she does.

You got off your ladder and walked out of the room with Mercury and Emerald.

(Y/N): So, what does she want now?

Emerald: No idea. She told me to come and get you.

Mercury: Both of us? Or just Mr. Ladykiller here.

He playfully elbowed you. You slapped him away and rolled your eyes and followed Emerald. You three arrived at the foyer of the house and saw Cinder laughing at one of Roman's jokes. She turned when you walked into the room and smiled at you. It was a causal smile, but one that you enjoyed to see once in awhile.

Cinder: (Y/N). Good to see my best electrician at work.

(Y/N): More work than Mercury has done in the last few days.

Mercury: Hey!

Cinder giggled a bit and walked over to you and your friends. She held up a tray full of lemonade glasses, seemingly offering them to you.

Cinder: Want some?

(Y/N): I mean, I really couldn't. I just run electrical work and-

Cinder: Take it.

(Y/N): Ok, I'm taking it.

You took a glass and took a swig of the lemonade. You slowly smiled as the taste was far better than you thought.

Cinder: Like it?

(Y/N): You've gotten better.

Cinder: Just better?

(Y/N): Well, I mean, the taste is a lot better. The overall sweetness is a solider mixture and-

Cinder: Wow...technical knowledge of lemonade making. Amazing.
