Chapter 15

He passed me a glass of water from the side table just as the door opened and Ya Abdul and Aunty came in followed by Rumaisa.

I smiled at them as I drank the water.

Aunty smiled back at me and Ya Abdul smiled at me too before he turned to Umar with a confused and shocked expression and Rumaisa was just looking at him the whole time.

He greeted Aunty and he shook hands with Ya Abdul before the he walked out of the room.

"What the hell?" Ya Abdul said at the same time Rumaisa muttered "Oh My God"

"I just saw Umar Kashim handing you a glass of water, what is happening?" Ya Abdul asked.

"I know right, that's why I didn't tell you anything, I was waiting for you to come and see yourself, I was just talking with her when he casually came in and he sat on that couch" Rumaisa said as she ran to the couch and she sat down

Oh My God

"Are you guys talking about Umar?" Aunty asked as she sat down on the stool he was sitting on and she collected the glass cup from me

Rumaisa's head shut up from looking at the couch that she was now obsessed with "Mummy! When did you you move to the first name level with Umar Kashim?"

"Is he the Umar Kashim you are always talking about? Well he was the one that saved Hameeda" Aunty said

Rumaisa shoot you from her seat "do you have any idea what this means?" She said looking at me

"Yau naga takaina" I said looking at Ya Abdul who was removing my hair from my face (I'm in trouble today)

"You were literally saved by a celebrity, do you know how that guy is loved! Oh my gosh! He passed you a freaking glass cup, a glass cup Hameeda, he doesn't do that, do you know what that makes you?!, the luckiest girl ever!, he actually came to see you in the hospital at 9 in the freaking morning! He does not do that, oh my God! Please make him talk to me!!" She blabbered

Well I wouldn't be here if not for him, so of course he had to come see me at 9 am in the morning

No big deal

Aunty just shook her head in amusement and she looked me "did you take your medicine?"

I nodded at her

When 'Dr' Ya Abdul finished inspecting my wounds he stepped back "looks like you were punched" he said with a dark look on his face

I shrugged

He sighed "what even took you and your friend to that area? What kind of friend leaves her friend alone 'mistakenly', which of your friends?" He asked

"Uh..you don't know her" I said

"I know all of your friends Hameeda" he reminded me

"She's a new friend" I said

"What's her name?" He asked

"Amina" I lied, AGAIN

I swear it's all Umar's fault this is happening

"Does she go to our school?" He asked

I thought for some seconds wether I should say no or not before  I nodded

"I'll find her"

I shook my head "It wasn't actually her fault you know"

"Are you even serious, and why isn't she here anyway"

Why does this guy ask a lot of questions

"She doesn't Know"

"Well call her and tell her what she has caused" he said as he sat down next to Rumaisa with an angry look on his face

Aunty shook her head "Allah dai yakara tsare wa" (May God continue to protect)

"Ameen" we all muttered

Aunty was called on the phone so she excused herself and she went out

Rumaisa quickly ran to the stool Aunty was sitting on "Hameeda
where is he now?"

I sighed

This is exactly why I said they shouldn't meet

"Outside I think" I said

"How do I talk to him?" she asked

"Oho"

"How did you start talking to him? Does he know you were the girl at the party?" She asked

"Yes he knows, we talked when I woke up" I said

"I'm so jealous!" She said

"Okayyyyy??" I said

I looked around suddenly remembering my phone that I left in his office

"I wonder if he has my phone" I murmured to myself

"How is he supposed to know?" She asked

I shrugged

Her face suddenly lit up "I'll ask him!"

"Ruma-...." before I should finish calling her name she was out of the room
