Chapter 6
King Zephyr of Ouranós entered the throne room. "Did you kill the spy?" he questioned, eager to know the answer.
The high king, King Hayden, hesitated before answering. "He has been...dealt with."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing that you need to concern yourself with, Zephyr." Hayden scowled.
"Of course not, your majesty. I didn't mean to intrude." Zephyr bowed, pursing his lips.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to."
"Of course...your majesty."
As soon as the high king left, Zephyr scowled to himself. He hated how the High King thought he was so entitled and mighty. Without the kingdom of Ouranós to help him, he would've lost the civil war. He should be grateful, Zephyr thought spitefully.
The words continued to echo in his mind.
