Chapter 22

"You both are the same" He glares at me and Mindy then push past me and leaves the apartment "I can't believe he said we are both the same, I mean I'm nothing like you" Mindy glares at me "You goddamn right you're nothing like me" I glare at her back "What were you whispering in Davids ear?" My mom asks "Nothing" Mindy walks past me and mom but mom grabs her arm and drags her back "Mindy, you are NOT going anywhere now tell me right now what were you whispering in Davids ear?" My mom demands "Ughhh fine" Mindy inhales and exhales before she talks 

"I told David that Brianna is a gold digger that only dated Eminem for his fame and fortune" She says like it's a joke "You know that's not true, you know I love him very much even after we are broken up I still love him and I'll never stop" I shake my head "That's not love" She laughs "Of course you think it's not love since you use your husband for money" I laugh "I love my husband" She yells "You can keep telling yourself that all you want but we both know it's not true" I turn to my mom "Mom, where's dad?" I ask her "He ran to the store, he should be back any minute" I furrow my brows at her "I thought you said he's sick" I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow at my mom "He is but that doesn't mean he shouldn't go to the store to pick up a few bits and pieces, he is dying Brianna but he is strong" My mom tells me 

"Where's my room?" I ask my mom "Down the hall to the left" My mom tells me "Thanks mom" I walk down the long corridor and make it to my room, I open the door to my room and I'm completely left speechless at the sight of my room, the room is huge and it's well decorated. I lay down on the king size bed and close my eyes for a few minutes, out of nowhere my phone goes off in my purse. 

I reach for my phone and pull it out, I check who is calling me, it's Marshall, I answer the phone "Hey, did you make it?" Marshall asks me "Yes I made it to the apartment" I smile "Apartment?" He asks "Yeah they apparently live in an apartment" I tell Marshall "Is it small?" He asks me with a chuckle "Someones curious" I giggle "I was just asking" Marshall says "It's really big and the apartment is really expensive" I tell him "Wow, how were your parents able to afford such a big apartment?" He asks me sounding shocked 

"My sister paid for it, she is married to a millionaire" I roll my eyes "Knowing your sister it might not be a good marriage" He laughs "Nope, she doesn't love him, she only uses him for his money" I tell him "What a bitch" He kinda sounds annoyed "Yes I know but she is my sister" I take a long pause to think of a compliment but I can't "and there is nothing nice I can say about her" I laugh 

"You had me going there for a minute, I thought you were going to say some cute shit about your sister" He chuckles "You know me, I would never say anything nice about that monster I call sister" Marshall starts to laugh, I laugh after him "As funny as it sounds; why did you hit your sister?" He asks me sounding serious "Mindy said---" I'm interrupted when I hear the door slam shut and some guy grunting "I have to call you back" I tell Marshall "Alright" I hang up the phone. 

I leave my bedroom and walk to the living room. When I make it I see this thin figure in the shadow, he is apparently standing by the large island in the kitchen. I do not recognize this man at all but it seems like my mother and my sister and everyone else in the living room does. 

I stand like a statue watching this man talking to my mom. This strange man turns around and makes eye contact with me. To my surprise it's someone I thought I would never ever see... ever. It's my father "Dad"
