7:30 a.m. Three Days Since The Wolfgang Kids Discovered Shifaly

Three days have passed since the day we rescued the girl. She was in AnnSophia's care. AnnSophia told us that her name was Shifaly. AnnSophia also told us that the girl had a panic attack that day when she went upstairs and charged us not to follow her. Since that day, she made the girls' deck off-limits for everyone except for her, Emily and Shifaly. So everybody else slept in the boys' deck. I slept in Bill Lancaster's old capsule.

For those three days, we ate the fishes that the boys caught in the river. With the help of the lessons that they took in Boys' Scouts, the guys were able to cook the fishes well.

A few hours ago, AnnSophia came down to tell me that Shifaly was ready to meet all of us that evening. It was great news because I was inquisitive and curious about who Shifaly was.

I must add that when we found her on the boat, we also found a bag - that probably she was the owner of - beside her. Thinking it was not the right thing to do, we never opened the bag, but just brought it inside the bus and put it inside one of the capsules.

Shifaly was getting better. She was able to walk and she was able to eat without me having to feed her. I didn't ask her where she got the injuries that she got, because she looked like someone who was physically abused. She didn't look like someone who got injured by falling or crashing into a rock. She looked like as if someone beat her up. I didn't ask her anything about her injuries because I feared that whatever thing happened to her might be fresh in her memory. By asking her, I would make her recollect that thing which would, in turn, trigger a panic attack.

She asked me if there were anyone else with me on the bus, for which I said yes. Ever since she knew that were more children, she was eager to meet them. For the first two days, I refused her requests to meet the others because she seemed weak. However, noticing that her condition was better that day, I agreed to bring her to everybody else. After all, the company would only make her feel better. Being alone would only be detrimental because if she was to herself, she would end up thinking all the thoughts that could trigger another panic attack. So, I decided to introduce her to everyone that day. She too was excited about meeting new people.

The storm was over on the night of the day when we found Shifaly. The forest floor began drying up. When the boys went fishing early morning, they reported the floor wasn't slushy like before. It was good news because we could all hang out outside in the campfire that night.

When the boys were gone, Alice and Hernanda helped gather wood with the machete. We used a cigarette lighter and a mug of fuel to light the wood. It was quite dangerous actually to light a fire the way we did, but the boys managed to light the fire that way without any of them lighting themselves up in an accident.

A day before, I managed to reach Las Taperas where my operating base was. Las Taperas was one of my two operating bases. I had another one in Roboré. As soon as I sat down on my chair at the office, I was bombarded with reports from my subordinates from different regions of the rainforest.

A few days ago I was rescued from the road where I was stranded after the collapse of the bridge. The army managed to get drivers who were stuck in the long line to take a reverse and make a U-turn one by one. The whole process demanded the patience of hundreds of impatient drivers who were stuck in that road for more than a day after that bridge's collapse. In the end, everyone was safely helped out of that situation where they were stranded.
