I See the Light *Ambi*

Amber was dying.

The world was slowly diming, all light leaving.

Her eyes were slowly closing.

She couldn't even move from where she was lying down.

She mustered the strength to talk and called out,"TJ, TJ."

She slowly lifted her arm and reached out,"I can see the light. My time has come. I shall greet death as an old friend."

"Jesus Amber, you're on your period, your not terminally ill,"TJ said coming into the room with the heating pad and pain medicine for Amber.

Amber rolled her eyes, swalling the pills and placing the heating pad on top of her.

The doorbell rang and TJ went down the stairs to open it.

When Amber heard footsteps coming up the stairs again, she expected it to be TJ.

Instead it was Andi.

"Hey Amber,"Andi greeted,"I brought you chocolates and an otter holding a heart stuffed animal."

"Gosh I love you,"Amber said hugging the stuffed animal and devouring some of the chocolates.

The next day Andi decided to return to Amber's to cheer her up as she was struggling with this cycle.

She knocked on the door, her bag of crafts slung over her shoulder.

The door opened to a terrified looking TJ.

His hair was a mess and his face was drained of all color.

He had big bags under his bloodshot eyes.

"TJ,"Andi said,"What's wrong!?"

"I-It's Amber,"TJ said,"She's a monster."

"Can I come in,"Andi asked.

"You have been warned,"TJ said opening the door farther and letting Andi in.

Loud music could be heard from upstairs.

Then a door slammed and Amber stormed down the stairs mumbling.

She walked through the living room into the kitchen.

They heard the freezer door open.

"WHY DON'T WE HAVE ANY CHOCOLATE ICECREAM,"Amber screamed.

The door slammed and Amber returned in sight carrying a tub of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup which she was pouring directly into her mouth.

"Get chocolate,"Amber stated angrily.

"Yes ma'am,"TJ said,"Anything else?"

Amber shook her head no, stormed back up the stairs and slammed the door of her room shut.

"Can you watch her while I run to the store to grab 5 tubs of chocolate ice cream,"TJ asked.

Andi nodded taking her coat and shoes off.

"Great, thanks,"TJ said,"If she needs anything else while I'm out just text me."

After TJ left, Andi slowly made her way upstairs and knocked on Amber's door.

When there was no response she opened the door to find Amber passed out on the bed, with the icecream and chocolate syrup in her hands.

Andi carefully took the icecream and syrup back downstairs and put it away before walking back up to the room.

Amber grabbed her hand and pulled Andi into the bed.

"Thanks for being here,"Amber said.

"I'll always be here for you,"Andi said.

Then, they both fell asleep.
