This is a suggestion from Buffys_softie. Thanks for the suggestion.

Buffy was jealous.

And Buffy was never jealous.

She and Marty were friends again but he had a girlfriend.

Meaning when his girlfriend switched schools, she hardly saw him anymore.

It wasn't just that she didn't get to spend time with Marty.

It was the fact that he no longer constantly flirted with her, which she liked.

Although she would never admit it.

And the constant text conversations they had and running together.

Now, he did all of that with his girlfriend.

She looked exactly like every other sporty girl.

Her light peach skin was slightly tanned and her long, blonde hair was tied back into a ponytail.

She wore a fit bit and basically sneakers all the time.

Her name was Sofia. (ha. ha. ha. ha. ha.)

Today was the same as usual.

She stood at her locker watching Marty and Sophia flirt.

She wished she could just look away.

The truth is, Buffy had always liked Marty.

She had just been nervous when he asked her out that something would happen between them and they wouldn't be friends.

And since she had dated people now she felt more confident in dating him.

So, she wanted to date Marty.

She looked away the second they started moving towards her.

"The one and only, Buffy Driscoll,"Marty said coming up to Buffy, his hand holding Sophia's.

"Hey Marty,"Buffy said turning to the two.

"You must be Buffy,"Sophia said extending her free hand to shake Buffy's.

"And you must be Sofia,"Buffy said.

"Will Marty Ytram come to the office to show a new student around,"The annocement said.

"Well, I have to go. See you later slayer. Bye Soph,"Marty said squeezing Sophia's hand and giving Buffy a fist bump.

Sophia and Buffy stood akwardly and silently.

"So um, how long have you and Marty been dating,"Buffy asked.

"Oh, a couple months now,"Sophia said,"How long have you known Marty?"

"Probably close to two years now,"Buffy said.

Buffy should take the chance. She could easily trick Sophia and get Marty.

"So, I'm assuming you haven't heard much about Marty,"Buffy said.

"What,"Sophia asked.

"I mean. You just switched schools so I'm assuming you don't know about his past with girls."

"No,"Sophia said alarmingly.

"Well, Marty tends to jump around alot, from girl to girl. And sometimes he even has two girls,"Buffy said.

"What,"Sophia exclaimed.

"Well, has he been acting different lately. Since you switched schools,"Buffy asked.

"Yes. I suppose he seems more clingy,"Sophia said.

"That's probably because he has another girlfriend here he doesn't want you to know about,"Buffy stated.

"Do you really think he would do that,"Sofia asked.

"Look, Marty is a really good friend but he tends to do whatever he wants. When he asked me out I declined because I didn't want to be another ex whose heart was broken by Marty Ytram,"Buffy said.

"He asked you out,"Sophia exclaimed.

"Yeah,"Buffy said,"That's why we weren't friends for a while. But once he was with you I figured I was safe for now."

Sofia gulped,"I-I'm going to switch schools again. There is no way I want to be around him anymore. "

"No, I mean. He likes hanging out with you and all. I would just break up with him and stay friends. And possibly be accepting of anyone he starts to date,"Buffy said.

"No, I'm not going to stay around with him and be friends with my ex,"Sofia said.

Buffy was scared now.

Marty was so happy with Sofia, Buffy just didn't want them dating.

They could be friends and Marty and her could date.

Marty was walking over to the pair, he dropped the new student off at his locker before coming up behind Sofia.

He gently grabbed her hand in his.

She turned around and slapped him on the fave and said,"We're done you dirty cheater!"

Sofia threw Marty's hand from hers and stormed down the hall.

"What did I do,"Marty asked,"And I'm not a cheater."

"I have no idea. I guess she just heard something from someone,"Buffy said.

"Someone like you,"Marty asked.

"What, why wuld I have said anything bad about you Marty? You're amazing,"Buffy said.

"Okay, I definetly know somethings up,"Marty said.

"Fine, I told her you were probably dating someone else to make her break up with you,"Buffy said.

"Why would you do that Buffy,"Marty asked.

"Because I was jealous Marty. I was jealous of her,"Buffy said.

Marty just smiled before saying,"Come on our Soph."

Sophia walked out from around the corner smiling before moving to stand in front of Marty and Buffy.

"What,"Buffy asked.

"Sofia is my cousin,"Marty said.

"But,"Buffy said.

"I was only 'dating' her to make you jealous,"Marty said smirking.

"Really, and how did you know I would care. I rejected you Marty,"Buffy said.

"Yeah, but I could tell something was up when you called me. I knew you had probably realized how irresistible I was,"Marty said.

"Okay, that was still a lot of trouble for you to go to just to ask me out,"Buffy said.

"Umm, I'm pretty sure you're the one asking me out,"Marty said,"I mean, you were the one trying to drive my fake girlfriend away."

"Enough already. You like each other. Go out on a date,"Sofia said.

Marty and Buffy both laughed.

"Okay Sofia. You have school you need to get back to,"Marty said.

"Fair enough,"Sofia said leaving the pair alone.

"I still can't believe you tricked me,"Buffy said.

"I still can't believe it worked," Marty said.

"Okay, I was fooled. Let's move on,"Buffy said.

The pair walked down the hall occasionally bumping shoulders.
