NOPI Chapter 73
Charles' POV
"I know you won't. Not on this guy and not on this life" seryoso kong sabi saka siya tinignan ng diretso sa mga mata niya
Nang makita kong malapit nanaman siyang umiyak ay natawa na ako kaagad saka siya pinat sa ulo.
"You get moved so easily, you know? Masanay ka na. Gagawin ko 'to every chance I get," sabi ko dahilan kung bakit siya natawa
"I know. Please be careful with my heart though. Baka masobrahan na sa pagmamahal na ibinibigay mo" sabi niya kaya naman napangiti na ako, abot langit. AHAHAHA
God, she just never fails to make me happy!
Hinawakan ko na ang kamay niya't inintertwine ang mga kamay namin saka ko siya hinila papunta sa music room - ah este, sa squad room namin. Hahaha
Nang makarating na kami sa hall ay agad kaming binatp ng mga guards ko kaya naman pinaalala ko sakanila na 'wag magpapasok at bantayan ng mabuti ang perimeter.
I missed Sephine after all. I want to be with her now.
I want this night to be just the two of us.
I need my strength and my world beside me for the next few hours.
Pagkadating namin sa squad room ay agad ko nang binuksan ang pinto saka unang pinapasok si Sephine.
Pagkakita niya palang sa simple dinner date setup na pina-prepare ko ay napanganga na siya.
"Oh my god. Kailan? Paano? Bakit?" tanong niya kaya naman sinarado ko na ang pinto at lumapit na sakanya
"Tulad nga ng sabi ko kanina, I had to congratulate my girl for winning the fight. She was so cool with all those investigations, face slaps and threats. Haha. I didn't know that you had that kind of side in you," sagot ko dahilan kung bakit niya tinaas baba ang mga kilay niya at pinakitaan ako ng napaka-smug na look
"I'm awesome, right? Even I'm surprised with the result" sagot niya kaya naman natawa na ako
Her innocent side.
Her naive side.
Her childlike side.
Her intelligent side.
Her caring side.
Her confident side.
Her narcissist side.
There's so much about her. They're one and the same that I can't even put it into words anymore.
She's not really that perfect. I know nobody is. But.. I know something important..
I know she's worth it. She's so much worth the attention and love I'm giving and showering her with.
"Seph," tawag ko sakanya dahilan kung bakit tinanggal niya na ang pagtingin sa decorations sa room saka binaling ang tingin niya sa akin
"Hmm?" tanong niya while showing me her eye smile
Habang tinitignan ko ang babaeng parang anghel na biniyaya sa akin ng langit, hindi ko alam kung bakit pero para bang ang naririnig ko lang ay ang tibok ng puso ko.
"Did you hear that?" tanong ko dahilan kung bakit siya nagtaka
"What? I didn't hear anything" sagot niya kaya naman napangiti na ako
Hahaha. So naive~
Kaya gustong gusto ko siyang paulanin ng pick-up lines eh.
"It's my heart beating so loud, I feel like it's about to get out of my chest and show itself to you," sagot ko dahilan kung bakit niya ako sinamaan ng tingin at namula
"Hahaha. Oh, god, stop blushing. It's seducing me, okay? Hindi mo ba alam na nakakabaliw ang makita ang epekto ko sayo?" tanong ko sakanya kaya naman mas namula siya't pinalo na ako kaya naman natawa nalang ako saka kinuha ang phone ko't nag-play na ng music
Dahil connected 'to sa speakers ay agad na nag-amplify ang music gamit ito sa buong silid.
Nang marinig ko na ang melody ng music ay agad ko nang inilahad ang kamay ko kay Sephine at nagprepare nang umawit.

Napangiti na siya kaagad saka tinanggap ang kamay ko kaya naman hinila ko na siya kaagad and made sure to sway with the music.

Habang umaawit eh inayos ko na ang posisyon namin.
I slowly led her left hand to my nape and rested it on my shoulder, held her right hand gently using my left hand and snaked my right arm through her waist up to her back.

After the chorus, the instrumentals followed because in the original song, the next part was for the duet but never mind the duet, it's time to enjoy the music.
I slowly pulled her to me and transferred her right hand to my other shoulder. After non ay nilagay ko na sa kabilang bewang niya ang isa kong kamay at hinila na siya papalapit sa akin.
Shocked by the sudden closeness of our bodies, she blushed again which is why I laughed again earning a glare from her but after a little while, she leaned her head on my chest and stayed there which is why I could only smile helplessly in return.
Dancing with the person you love at night, blessed with the light coming from the full moon and it's companions - the stars...
I wished that time could just stop right there and then.
