NOPI Chapter 45
Ed's POV
"Pasensya na talaga. Those rumors were just rumors. We didn't really use the meeting room for scheming. Just what do they think we are?" tanong ni Violet saka niya tinignan si Venus dahilan kung bakit natawa si Venus
"I know right? Nahulog kasi si Sephine sa hagdan and it happened right when we came back from Kuya Joseph's hotel. We used the meeting room so that she can stay closer to us, all of us are in the Star Dorms after all. We're three dorms away from hers" sagot ni Venus
Napasuklay na ako sa buhok ko nang marinig ko 'yung nangyari kay Sephine saka ko tinignan si Charles na mukhang nakatitig lang sa phone niya.
He was still as expressionless and emotionless as earlier today.
Obviously, nagiging warm and cozy lang naman siya pagnakikita niya o di kaya'y kasama niya si Sephine.
"Violet naman. Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi sa amin? Don't you know how worried we were? We could have at least done or bought something for Sephine if we knew" sagot naman ni Rod kaya naman bumugtong hininga na si Violet
"I wanted to tell you earlier really but things.. are kind of complicated. We had to take care of the rumors and Sephine after all" sagot niya kaya naman tumahimik na kami
"So where is she now?" napatingin na kaming lahat kay Charles nang bigla siyang magsalita
By 'she', of course, kung si Charles pa, si Sephine lang posibleng 'she' na 'yon.
"At the meeting room, together with the other Falcon cousins" sagot ni Violet kaya naman tumango na si Charles
"Is she okay now?" - Charles
"She is but she can walk only after three more days" - Violet
"Did she.. ever plan on telling me this?" - Charles
Napatingin nalang ulit ako kay Charles dahil sa tinanong niya.
Why do I feel my heart ache when he asked that question? It felt like he had been abandoned small puppy but still felt hopeful that his owner would come back for him! Fck, he's so helplessly in love!
"She does. Really. I actually didn't want to tell you about this because she wants to tell you herself. I swear" agad namang sagot ni Violet habang nagcro-cross sa dibdib niya
Nang ngumiti na si Charles ay natawa na kaming magbabarkada.
So petty.
"So.. pretend that you didn't know about it okay? I only told you this so you would understand if she couldn't text or call you or meet you or anything" dagdag pa ni Violet kaya naman agad nang tumango si Charles
"I could at least do that for her. Hmp. I can wait. I'm patient" bulong ni Charles saka siya naglakad paalis kaya naman hindi na namin siya sinundan pa at agad nang tinignan sila Violet
"That weirdo just exceeded my expectations. He's jealous of Joseph Falcon! I didn't know that he had this jealous side in him! What a sore loser!" sabi ko sakanila dahilan kung bakit sila natawa
"Does Sephine know this side of Charles?" tanong ni Rico kaya naman agad na tumango habang tumatawa tawa parin sila Violet sa tanong niya
"She does. She actually thinks he's cute," sagot ni Venus kaya naman napahalakhak na kami
Damn! If Jealous Charles is cute for her, then he's annoying to us! He's venting all his frustrations to us after all.
I-kwento ko kaya kay Sephine lahat ng ginagawa niya everytime na nagseselos siya?
Hah, I'd better begin to take note of everything then.

// Three days later
Napasabunot na ako ng buhok ko. What the fcking hell. Mababaliw na ako sa katahimikan!
Kumatok ako ulit sa pintuan ni Charles. Sa pintuan niyang nagpapalabas ng nakakainis na aura na nagsasabing 'I'M SO LONELY', 'I WANT TO SEE HER', 'I MISS HER' at kung anu ano pang nakakabaliw na mga bagay! Letse!
"Charles, utang na loob! Ba't ka ba nagkukulong dyan ha? Dahil ba hindi ka parin kino-contact ni Sephine!? Come on, dude! She's recuperating! She's probably just too busy making sure that she's fine! Isn't that normal? Why are you being this annoying?" tuloy tuloy kong sabi kay Charles na tatlong araw nang nagkukulong sa kwarto niya
Lumalabas lang siya kapag may klase siya o di kaya'y kumukuha ng pagkain. He's lucky that we each have our own comfort rooms even if we're roommates. Tsk.
This won't do. Isusumbong ko na siya kay Sephine. He's not even going to the corporation lately! What a love struck fool!
Kinuha ko na ang phone ko saka ko tinawagan si Sephine. Nang sagutin niya na ang phone niya ay agad na akong pumunta sa room ko't humiga sa kama.
"Princess, are you purposely trying to avoid contacting Charles?" frustrated kong tanong dahilan kung bakit nakarinig ako ng tawa sa kabilang linya
"Can.. I ask why? He's.. been pretty annoying lately, you see" dagdag ko
"I just feel like it. Why? Is he giving you a cold shoulder too? The other guys called me too" sagot niya kaya naman napapikit na ako
You just feel like it?
Sephine.. Hindi ko talaga maintindihan ang mga bagay na tumatakbo sa isip mo. Hindi mo pa rin ba alam ang lakas ng epekto mo kay Charles? You shouldn't underestimate yourself too much, Princess!
"Can't you at least give him a call or something? He's probably just feeling lonely, you know. This can't go on! Kumakalat ang gloomy atmosphere niya sa buong dorm! Feeling ko nga masasakal na ako sa katahimikan! I prefer him scolding me for goofing around rather than having him ignoring me!" Exasperated kong sabi dahilan kung bakit natawa ulit si Sephine
"Sorry, Ed. But you still have to wait for at least two more days for everything to return back to normal" sagot niya kaya naman nagtaka ako
"Two more days? What do you mean?" tanong ko
Napaisip naman ako saka ako napatitig sa ceiling.
Two more days is ...
Napaupo na ako kaagad galing sa pagkakahiga saka napangiti.
"It's Charles' birthday! You're deliberately ignoring him for that? Why? Do you have something in mind?" tanong ko
"Yup. I'm going to surprise him and properly confess to him" pagkarinig ko palang non ay agad na akong napangiti, 'yung tipong abot tenga
"Hah. Lucky bastard. These days of torture for him isn't much compared to the next two days. He should be celebrating instead. Anyways, may maitutulong ba ako, Seph?" tanong ko
"Actually, I have the perfect job for you, Ed. You're the only person capable to do it" pagkarinig ko palang non ay agad na akong napatayo
"What is it?"
