"i had someone in my life before, as a child i was very shy, but she talked to me and drew me a smiley in a paper and reminded me to smile always---" yiyang interupted sicheng's monologue, "i know that moment all too well, sicheng." and they shared a smile. "because that girl is me."
"and you remember when you told me that when we're 21 and we meet again, you'll give me sunflowers again and maybe at that time, i'll like you back?" she reminisced. and she laughed at the thought because what happened to sicheng before is happening to her, or at least she thinks so.
sicheng nodded and smiled sheepishly, "yeah, and here i am, fulfilling that prophecy." they shared a laugh until they realized something. sicheng faked a cough, "so do you like me back?"
yiyang would just say to anyone who'll ask that it was anesthesia that made her bravely kiss sicheng in the forehead. "what do you think?" and they shared giggles.
soojung looked at the scene outside of yiyang's room, with dietha by her side. she bit her trembling lower lip, "i'm having her have the surgery."
