Dead in life. A Powerful Curse

After the fall of the precepts of death, seemingly a long time ago:

In a hospital hidden compound-

"WAAARRHHHHH-!! *cough* AAAAAAHHHHGGGHHH-!!!" The voice choked from the circulatory shock he was having and could not take the pain. He was bleeding hard

"Hurry with the tourniquet this man is losing blood quick!" A doctor called as four nurses followed his lead, currently they were rushing to a private room to save this man

He got to the hospital via a patrol truck and police officers immediately followed after it. One leader lead the way to the others who were carrying the injured with a stretcher. He gave the order that he must be saved but must kept in secret due to hero business and police secrecy. They cleared the entire waiting room just for him.

He was put in charge to save this man's life and by the looks of it he cannot fail.

The man was in critical condition as he lost both his arms and was bleeding on the gurney and the nurses were very worried he was going to die in a minute or so.

"What the hell happened to the paramedics-? Why the hell wasn't he properly stabilized-?!"

"WWWWRRRRAAAAA-!" He wailed as his injuries hurt like hell.

Another nurse pushing the gurney gave him a shot to numb the pain at least a bit and gave him a high dose, knowing it will help his chances to survive.

A nurse stopped him as he knew the details "They were killed doctor. He was the only one alive and we had to get outta there in a hurry with a civilian vehicle! The League of Villains probably did this" he explained

The doc shut up and felt his throat dry up. If those villains where after this guy...?
'No! I must fulfill my Hippocratic oath even if it kills me' he thought deeply as finally they got into the a cleared room and begin to strap tourniquets on the man

After doing so the nurses at the same time brought a surgery table and lifted the patient over to accomodate him better. Trolleys were brought close to him, decorated with medical objects that were going to be used

"Take off his mask and shirt. I need to sterilize" the doc said as the nurses examined the other injuries besides his missing arms. They could clearly see that the forceful amputations were done by quirks, nasty abilities at that. The doctor exited to wash all of his arms before he began.

The beak mask and dirtied black shirt were thrown at the side as they analyzed more puncture wounds and burns from the fire in the area he was.

The doc came in and the nurses began to prep him for surgery. Ready for it they got to work

A nurse panicked as he realized now why he was taken here in such a hurry "Doc! I-we-I think I know who this guy is!" She claimed as she looked at the beak and then at his stressed pain ridden face "This man is the villain Overhaul!!!" She yelled as she stood back from the patient

"Doesn't matter!" The doc said as he saw the other nurses backing away. Many have heard the incident today "He's done for as a villain. No arms. Broken bones. He'll be lucky if he gets a break from the law but for now we must do our job! Let's save this dumbass and be done with it!" He exclaimed, making the nurses feel more secure and inspired to continue to work

A male nurse came to his senses and ran to a corner amongst the instruments, and brought a tank of gas. The doc waved him off

The other nurses were confused at this

The doc looked at them and explained himself "We may need to save him but didn't I say we are in a hurry with short supply? We don't have anesthesia so we have to perform surgery without it" he explained specifically, making the nurses now truly respect him. Was he punishing this villain at the same time he was saving him? Seemed fair
