"Is the plan clear?" Tanong ni X pagsapit ng Lunes ng umaga.
Buong weekend, inaral lang namin ang mga nakuha kong impormasyon at ni-revise ang plano base rito.
I nodded. "I'll contact the driver and give him a different address."
"Magpapanggap akong pulis na hahabol at huhuli sa truck," kumpirma ni Kio sa role niya.
"And I'll make sure the real cops don't show up," X agreed. "Let's go."
Today, we make our move.
Sabay-sabay kaming bumaba sa parking lot ng hotel. Nakaformal ulit ako ngayon para gampanan ang karakter ni Secretary Karen Javier.
Syempre, gamit ko ang make-up ni Demonise, spy glasses, at Jili Juri accessories. Nakasuot pa rin ang voice changer sa ilalim ng kwelyo ko.
Napahinto ako sa paglalakad nang nakita ang motor na sinasakyan ni X. Holy shit.
"That's the 1942 Crocker Big-Tank Twin," I whispered in awe.
Umangat ang dulo ng mga labi niya. "You know your shit."
Are you kidding me? That's like the holy grail of motorcycling! Of course, I know it!
"How do you have that?"
There were only around 70 of this ever built, and among those, this 1942 Crocker is even more special. It's so vintage and culturally significant that it would fetch at least a million dollars or 55 million pesos when sold.
"1942 what? Ang luma ah. Nakakatakbo pa ba 'yan?" Walang malay na sabi ni Kio.
I almost stared at him in disbelief. Dumbass, that's worth at least 30 of your Harley-Davidson V-Rod!
"I like collecting, so I bought it," simpleng sagot sa akin ni X. He ignored Kio as if explaining to him was a waste of time.
May collection siya ng vintage motorcycles? Huh. If the 1942 Crocker is just one of his 'collectibles,' just imagine what makes up the rest of his collection.
Totoo nga yata ang chismis ni Jian — X is mega rich in real life.
"Ah, sikat ba 'yan? Ayos ah, pero luma pa rin. Baka hindi na mabilis 'yan sa panahon ngayon," honest opinion ni Kio.
Oh he's so cute and clueless.
"The ride is an extension of the outfit, Salvatore. I don't need fast if it's boring," X replied.
Using vehicles as mere accessories? He's a true elite, alright. I've never really noticed it until now, but he is more stylish than I thought. Marami nang mas mabilis pero mas mura na model ng motor ngayon, but he still would rather use a super expensive yet old Crocker just to flex.
"Sabi mo eh," Kio shrugged then he looked at me. "Tara, girlfriend, I'll drop you off two blocks away from the office."
Hindi na ako nagreklamo at umangkas na lang sa kanya. I can't use Bliss, after all. Hindi ko naman 'to mapapark sa office. It would get attention and cause suspicions.
