Avery's Pov
Layla looks at me and shakes her head. "You don't need to get back with him." I glare at her. "Layla not today just not today." I get up and walk outside and sit on the porch. I get my phone and contemplate on whether or not I should call or text Jackson for a few minutes. I finally decide and get my phone and call.
Phone convo
Me: hi
Jackson😑: you finally want to talk to me
Me: yeah I guess I do
Jackson😑: what made you change your mind
Me: do you want me to talk to you or not
Jackson😑: you know I do Avery
Me: then act like it
Jackson😑: I want to talk in person so where you at
Me: I'm at Layla's house
Jackson😑: ok I'm about to come and get you
Me: ok

I hang up the phone and get up and walk back inside. I look at Zoey. "I'll be back I'm about to go with Jackson." She says . "Get yo man boo." I shake my head. "Don't start." I sit down on the couch and wait for Jackson. I get a text from Jackson and get up and walk outside. I get in the car and he looks at me. "I missed you." I look at him. "Mhm..." He says. "What you don't miss me?" I say. "I didn't say all that." He drives off and says. "Mhm." I roll my eyes and look out the window. He says. "We going back to your house we need to talk." My phone dings and I see I got a text from Layla.
Suh boo🙄:where you at?
Me: Omw home
Suh boo🙄: how you getting there
Me: a friend
Suh boo 🙄: your friend name Jackson
Me: girl bye 🙄
Suh boo🙄: I'm not going to say nothing that's you
I roll my eyes and decide not to text her back. We pull up at my house a few minutes later and we get out and walk up to the door. I get out my keys and unlock the door,walking inside. Jackson says. "I know I made a mistake and I'm sorry." I sit on the couch and look at him. "Sorry isn't enough." He looks and says. "I'll show you." I shake my head. "I'll think about it." Jackson walks over to me and sits next to me and pulls me in his lap. "I want us to work this out and be together." I don't say anything and he says. "Avery I'm being serious I want you." I turn around to face him. "Show me." He says. "I will Bae." I mug his head. "Nun uh nope you can't call me that." He wraps his arms around me and kisses me on the cheek. "Girl idc what you say you still my bae."  I get out his lap and sit next to him. "Did you like her?" He looks at me. "No I told you I did it for Caleb that's all." I look at him. "But,why when me and you had something going on Jackson?" He sighs. "I was trying to help my homeboy out I wasn't trying to hurt you Avery." I say. "I feel like I can't trust you cause you might cheat on me now." He turns towards me and grabs my hands. "I promise you I won't cheat on you."
"Words don't mean shit you got to show me something." I look in his eyes and say. He slowly lets my hands go. "I see you still mad so,ima just slide back. He moves back a little and says. "I'm not going to hurt you Avery." I shake my head. "You went out on a date with another bitch and we wasn't even dating,but we was talking." He gets frustrated and stands up. "I'm telling you it didn't mean anything to me you do." I get up and turn to look at him before walking off. "Your actions speak louder than your words." I walk upstairs in my room and decide to turn my phone off for the night and walk in the bathroom and do my hygiene stuff. I finish up and put on my clothes,getting in the bed and turning on the tv. I watch it until I start to fall asleep and I turn it off.
Jackson's Pov
My phone goes off and I see it's Avery calling me and I answer it.

I get up and Caleb says. "Don't mess up this time." I walk outside and get in my car,driving to Layla's house. I pull up a few minutes later and get my phone and text Avery telling her I'm outside. She comes outside and gets in the car. I look at her. "I missed you." She looks at me. "Mhm..." I say. "What you don't miss me?" She says. "I didn't say all that." I drive off and say. "Mhm." She rolls her eyes and looks out the window. I say. "We going back to your house we need to talk." Her phone dings and she gets on. We pull up at her house a few minutes later and we get out and walk up to the door. She gets out her keys and unlock the door,walking inside. I walk in behind her. "I know I made a mistake and I'm sorry." She sits on the couch and looks at me. "Sorry isn't enough." I look and say. "I'll show you." She shakes her head. "I'll think about it." I walk over to her and sit next to her and pull her in my lap. "I want us to work this out and be together." She doesn't say anything and I say. "Avery I'm being serious I want you." She turns around to face me. "Show me." I look in her eyes and say. "I will Bae." She mugs my head. "Nun uh nope you can't call me that." I wrap my arms around her and kiss her on the cheek. "Girl idc what you say you still my bae." She gets out of my lap and sits next to me. "Did you like her?" I look at her. "No I told you I did it for Caleb that's all." She says. "But,why when me and you had something going on Jackson?" I sigh. "I was trying to help my homeboy out I wasn't trying to hurt you Avery." She says. "I feel like I can't trust you cause you might cheat on me now." I turn towards her and grab her hands. "I promise you I won't cheat on you."

She walks upstairs and I walk outside and get in my car,driving home. I pull up at my house and get out,walking inside. I turn on the lights and see Jane and Caleb sitting on my couch. "What y'all doing here?" Jane gets up and says. "He told me what happened and I want to talk to your girlfriend." I look at her like she's crazy for a minute. "Are you crazy do you really think that's a good idea." Caleb says. "I tried to tell her,but she wouldn't listen." "It's not going to happen she just started back talking to me." I say as I walk away,going upstairs in my room. I lay across the bed and sigh as I think of a way to show Avery I only want her.
