Blind Faith

Chapter 19

Sanyukta and Kaustaki were walking through the corridor when giggling.

"Tune uss Randhir ko aachha sabak shikhaya Sanyu, samajhta keya hain khudko, trustee ka beta hain toh kuch vi karega!" Kaustaki said happily.

"Haan but I felt bad for Misha, after all wo aapne bhai jaisa nehi hain." Sanyukta replied slowly.

"But she chose her brother over you Sanyu." Kaustaki said widening her eyes.

"It's okay Kaustu, main usski problem samajh sakti hu, after all family is family." Sanyukta replied.

"Aachha yeh chhod tu bol ke tune wo paper chipkaya kaise?" Kaustaki asked curiously.

"Aare bada tiger baan raha tha lab mein, mujhe chair lane ke liye order kiya! Main vi Sanyukta Agarwal hu, jaise hi wo khada huya maine uss paper ki ek side par glue lagake stool par rakh diya aur wo jaise hi baitha wo paper usske pichhe chipak geya." Sanyukta laughed and gave a hi-fi to Kaustaki. Just when Parth came there.

"Sanyukta tumne aaj thik nehi kiya." Parth said coldly.

"Tum vi Parth, tum vi uss Randhir ki side le rahe ho!" Sanyukta said surprisingly.

"Main kisika side nehi le raha hu Sanyukta but jo galat hain wo galat hain. You can't humiliate someone like that." Parth said firmly.

"Aachha aaj tumne yeh sab galat laag raha hain lekin uss din toh tumne kuch nehi kaha jab Randhir ne mere saath yehi ghatiya mazak kiya tha!" Sanyukta asked crossing her arms.

"Main uss din vi iske against tha aur aaj vi." Parth said slowly yet sharply.

"Actually aab tum mere against ho geye ho na Parth! Pehele Misha aab tum, I must say ke Randhir aapne plan mein successful ho raha hain!" Sanyukta said mockingly.

"Kamse kam aaisa bol kar Misha ki sacrifice ko toh gali mat do Sanyukta!" Parth said thus Sanyukta looked at him confusingly.

"Matlab?" Sanyukta asked confusingly.

"Matlab Misha ne tumhare saath aapna friendship issi liye tora taki Randhir tumhe padeshan na kare aur tum usse hi galat samajh rahi ho!" Parth spat out the whole truth thus Sanyukta froze there.

Randhir entered to his room and threw his bag on the floor and started punching his punching bag. He punched harder till his energy got drained out. He then opened the cupboard and took out a bottle of alcohol. He poured some alcohol in a glass and have it. His eyes were bloodshot and hairs were messy. He closed his eyes when Sanyukta's smirking face flashed in front of him and he opened his eyes with a jolt.

"Sanyuktaaa....you can't do this to me! Tumhe yeh nehi karna chahiye tha. You hurt me there where it's hurts the most. You hurt my ego, my self respect. You humiliate me. You humiliate Randhir Singh Shekhawat in front of the whole college! Now you have to pay for it." He threw the glass on the floor and it's breaks into pieces. He then took the bottle and gulped the whole alcohol down. His eyes was blood shot now.

"Today you crossed all your limits Sanyukta, now I can't leave you. I'll make your life a living hell, you bit***..." He threw the bottle hard and fall on the bed and soon dozed off under the effect of the alcohol.

Sanyukta and Kaustaki were sitting on the college ground. Sanyukta was lost in her thoughts when Kaustaki called her.

"Keya soch rahi hain Sanyu?" Kaustaki asked thus Sanyukta came back to her senses.

"Nehi main yeh soch kar khush ho rahi thi ke maine aapna beizzati ka badla le liya, jo Randhir ne mere saath kiya wohi maine uske saath kiya. But aab jab Misha ke ware mein soch rahi hu toh bahut bura laag raha hain, mere aur Randhir ki ladai ki bich wo pish rahi hain." Sanyukta said sadly.
