Back in the normal dimension, Claire was waking up on Madeline; she gently nudged Madeline which caused her to wake up.

Madeline: -grunts- Good morning Claire.

Claire smiles at Madeline as she has been imprinted on and marked as her mother.

Madeline: Let's get you something to eat.

Madeline put Claire on her back and went through the water to the cafeteria. Iff was there cooking since most of the team was out on emergencies, dealing with Gram or not awake yet.

Madeline: Hi Iff.

Iff: Hey Madeline, how is Claire?

Claire: Still a little restless but she has calmed down.

Madeline set Claire down on the side so they don't have to swim, Madeline got up on the side as well.

Iff: The others left plenty of her mixture before they left.

Madeline: Could you warm it up for me?

Iff: Sure.

Claire drinks a special mixture of milk, fish and special nutrients to not only keep her genetics in check but to feed her properly. Iff warmed up the mixture and poured it into a big baby bottle. Iff brought it over to Madeline and she fed Claire. Claire started sucking on the bottle while Madeline held it for her.

Madeline: She has to be on this stuff till she is fully stable.

Iff: So the same thing is with you all?

Madeline: I asked Pure about it, he said since ours was done over time we would be stable already, since hers' was so sudden it made things uneasy so we have to get it stable.

Iff: So how stable is she?

Madeline: Daiyu said she is over sixty percent for the moment but once we get her to one hundred, which is when she will be fully safe.

Iff: What about teaching her?

Madeline: She understands fast which is good but she has to relearn everything.

Iff: So she really is a blank slate.

Madeline: Seth triple-checked everything about recovering her memory, nothing, but there is a chance it may still come back but it is slim to none with how much of those drugs were in her.

Iff: But until then, we protect her and care for her.

Madeline: Right.

Claire finished the whole bottle; Claire took the straw out of her mouth and put the bottle aside. Madeline tapped her back gently and made her belch; once Claire belched Madeline sat down with Claire's head on her lap.

Iff: At least you are getting a lesson on being a mother.

Madeline: Wasn't expecting it but for some reason, it feels, kind of... nice.

Iff: Speaking of being a mother, what about you and Derek? I see you two are getting along swimmingly.

Madeline: Yeah, with the Mermaid's Ring we have a great time, even though it is for an hour.

Iff: You two got something in mind for a date after this is done?

Madeline: We got a few ideas but we put it off till things are calm again.

Iff: That's good.

Madeline: What about you, with Leo?

Iff: He's a sweet one, said he would take up some medical practices to help out.
