Several minutes later, you were both fully geared and ready to head out. You closed your apartment door behind you, Kakashi waiting patiently at the top of the stairs.
As you headed down, he glanced back at you. "I have to stop by my place to pack some things. I'll meet you by the village gates."
You both stood at the bottom of the apartment staircase, several feet from the front door.
"Alright, I'll see you soon." You rose up onto your toes to peck his cheek.
Before you could pull away, he grabbed you by the waist, pulling his mask down to press a kiss onto your lips.
You were shocked at first, but quickly melted into the moment, running your hands through his hair as he pulled you in closer. A few moments later, you rested your forehead against his, smiling with content.
"I love you." He mumbled out in a low voice.
You pressed your lips against his again, tracing a hand down his cheek. "I love you too, pervert."

"Heyo kiddos! How's everyone doing?" You neared the village gates where your three pupils were standing impatiently.
"(Y/N)-sensei, you took forever!" Naruto groaned out in complaint as he crossed his arms.
You shook your head. "Come on, I'm not that late." You ruffled the blonde's hair affectionately.
Sakura shook her head in dismay. "Oh yeah? We've been waiting here for forty five minutes! And where is Kakashi-sensei? Why are both of you late?" She threw her hands in the air in exasperation.
You scratched the back of your head, trying to come up with a good excuse. "Maybe Kakashi slept in late? I don't know what he's up to right now. And I was just slow moving this morning, that's all."
The pinkette eyed you suspiciously, trying to determine whether your excuse was acceptable or not. "If you say so..."
You cleared your throat, awkwardly trying to avoid eye contact with any of your students.
After about ten minutes of trying to avoid answering any of the Genin's questions, the silver haired ninja finally showed up.
"Hi guys! Sorry I'm late, I saw a black cat and took the long way here to avoid bad luck." He gave his signature close eyed smile, rubbing the back of his head.
Naruto rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Black cat my butt." He mumbled.
"Hmm? What was that Naruto?" Kakashi asked.
The blonde shook his head, walking briskly down the path out of Konoha. "It was nothing. Let's just go get that stupid scroll."
You and Kakashi exchanged a look, the man shrugging indifferently. It seemed that Naruto was just in an angsty teen mood.
"Come on, let's catch up with Blondie." The silver haired man suggested.
Sakura and Sasuke nodded in agreement.
The five of you set off down the path, taking a rather hasty pace.
"Kakashi-sensei, why are we going so fast? My legs will get tired soon!" Naruto complained.
The silver haired man was in the lead, not even turning his head around to respond. "Because this is an important A-Rank mission. If that scroll gets in the wrong hands, we're in serious trouble. Every second we waste is another chance that the scroll could be stolen. We have to keep moving."
Blondie's shoulders slumped, his brow furrowing as he grumbled to himself.
You leaned over to Sakura, whispering in her ear. "What's up with Naruto? He seems extra moody today."
