“So which one of y'all had to take a shit?” Majeed asked, backing out of the driveway.
“Excuse me?” I asked.
“What?” Masoud asked, confused as he put his seat belt on.
“Well one of you had to be, or else I wouldn't be waiting in the damn driveway for 10 minutes.” Majeed said.
I shook my head. “You're an idiot”
“We actually took five minutes, I was looking at my watch the whole time,” Masoud said, pointing at his little plastic watch that came out of a kinder egg.
I couldn't help but giggle when Majeed rolled his eyes.
“5 minutes, 10 minutes, same ish.” Majeed shrugged.
I turned around to look at Masoud. “Please pay attention in math class, little bro. I don’t think you wanna turn out like Majeed one day,” I said.
“Allah (god) toba (God forgive me),” Masoud quickly said, scared.
I laughed as Majeed grumbled.
“You're talking about me like I'm not here,” he said.
“Oh don't worry, we know you’re here,” I said, taking my phone out of my pocket.
“When is Boba (dad) giving you your car back? Both of you are so annoying,” Majeed said with a smile.
“I'm a delight.” Masoud said from the back seat.
“You tell him, bro,” I cheered.
“I'm being serious, don't you want your car back?” Majeed asked.
I sighed. “Of course I want my car back. Boba and I just resolved everything, I don’t wanna ask and make something rise upon us again.” I said.
I heard a little giggle in the back of the car as I raised an eyebrow.
I turned around and Masoud stopped laughing.
“Why are you giggling, Masoudy?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
He looked down. “I was not.”
“Yes, you were,” I said.
“Where's your proof?” He asked, crossing his arms.
My tongue clicked in my mouth as I smiled. “Majeed is my witness,” I said.
“Didn't you hear him laugh?” I asked, turning to Majeed.
“Sure did.” Majeed smirked.
“He giggled as if he knew something,” I said towards Majeed, as if Masoud wasn't there.
“He knows something that we don't,” Majeed added.
“Touchè, brother.” I said.
“So Masoud, spill, or I'll make you spill.” I spoke sweetly.
“I don't think I should be telling you this…” He said.
“Hmm, and I don't think I should taking you to Betty's after school, but then again, I won't if you don't spill.” I said.
“Ice cream is my weakness,” he whispered to himself as Majeed laughed.
“Fine, I'll tell you, but I want two sundaes at Betty's,” Masoud finally said.
“One sundae and one popsicle.” I said.
“Deal,” he mumbled.
“I overheard Boba saying that he was gonna give you your car back this week,” Masoud proudly said.
