The pinkette looked at you all, her smile slowly replaced with guilt as she looked at Sasuke. "Hey Sasuke? I need to talk to you about something." She gestured for him to follow her away from the group.
He seemed hesitant at first, but you gave his shoulder a little nudge. He glanced back at you and you gave him a reassuring nod.
As Sasuke and Sakura walked under a tree out of earshot, Kakashi and Naruto turned to look at you.
Before they could barrage you with questions, you headed toward the weapons' rack, picking up several kunai. "We should get to training."
The blonde looked at you in question, but you made no effort to answer what you knew he wanted to know.
A moment later, Sasuke and Sakura rejoined the group. The pinkette smiled brightly, Sasuke glaring at the ground.
You tossed a kunai at the girl who caught it with ease. "Sakura, spar with me." You gestured for her to step away from the others.
"Sure thing, sensei!" She said energetically.
Naruto walked up to Sasuke, asking about what Sakura had said. The boy just ignored him, walking up to Kakashi.
"Can we just finish up our match?" The dark haired boy asked grumpily. The silver haired man nodded slowly, glancing up at you.
He seemed to be questioning you with his eyes, so you mouthed the words I'll explain later to him. He nodded, turning to face Sasuke again.
You turned back to the task at hand as well, training with Sakura. "If you don't mind me asking, what did you tell him?" You asked as she brandished a shuriken.
The girl shrugged indifferently, falling into a defensive stance. You followed suit. "I apologized. Just like you said I should."
She raced toward you, clashing blades with a loud clang. "And I promised not to swoon over him all the time."
You raised a brow as you both retreated a few yards away from each other. "And what did he say?"
The girl smiled brightly. "He apologized too."
You scoffed, throwing a shuriken at the pinkette who dodged with ease. "Did my words really change you that much? Because the fact that what you said was able to get an apology out of him is mind blowing."
The girl threw several kunai at you as you jumped out of the way. "I don't think you really changed me, but your words woke me up. You made me realize the errors of my ways. Now I know how to correct myself." You chucked your dagger at her head, the girl using a substitution jutsu to avoid it.
Your blade embedded itself deep into a tree.
"And you were right before, your training has made me stronger."
You froze at the female voice behind you. You felt the press of cold metal on your neck. Sakura was directly behind you, holding a kunai to your throat.
You raised a brow, impressed by her improvement. "Thatta girl." You praised before blocking your neck with your arm and throwing your head back. You simultaneously stomped on her toes, sending her reeling back in pain.
You smiled triumphantly. "I'll teach how to do that in the morning."
Sakura glanced up at you as she rubbed her crushed toes. "So we're resuming training?"
You scoffed. "Of course! We've only got less than six months to make you a total badass."
The pinkette's face dropped. "That's right... you leave in almost five months."
