I take one last look at my reflection in the bathroom of the bar before exiting out the back door and walking up the stairs to Gavin’s. I knock on the door and he opens it. My mouth drops open in awe. He’s wearing a long sleeve button up with black dress pants. His hair is slicked back neatly and his beard is trimmed to perfection. I can’t help but let out a low whistle. I’m seriously impressed. His jaw drops.
“Holy crap, Skye. You look amazing.”
“You do, too.”
His eyes slowly rake over my body.
“Let’s get to the restaurant before I’m tempted to just keep you here and put you on the menu.”
I gasp at his comment as he joins me on the porch, clicking off the living room light and shutting the door. He leans in and kisses me once.
“Ready?”
“Yes.”
He locks the door and I follow him down the stairs to his car.
