Halfway to Gavin’s apartment, I remember I have to pick up Brayden at the bus. I have thirty minutes before he gets off. I’ll make it back to Andy’s house with ten minutes to spare.
I make a left and the intersection, turning around in a nearby parking lot before taking the route back to Andy’s. My phone starts ringing but I ignore it. Whoever it is can wait. They aren’t worth risking my life for. I turn up my radio and focus on arriving home safe and sound.
