"Uh, do you think they're making out?" I asked.

Seth immediately had his full attention on me; he was glaring.

"Oh... right. I guess I forgot about how my EX BEST FRIEND STABBED ME IN THE BACK!"

"Dude, ex?" Seth asked curiously.

"Yes, ex. You're my ex."

"So... we're something more than friends? Well, we were..."

"WHAT, NO! Shut up!" I whined.

Seth laughed.

"Well, I tried."

"Why did you go out with her?" I finally asked, followed by a sigh.

"I've had a crush on her since way back," He explained.

Ooooh. Here's where he's doomed.

"And why exactly did you have a crush on her?" I asked with a smirk.

Seth stared at me.

"Well... uh... she was... umm," He stammered.

"Ahhh... YOU STABBED ME IN THE BACK BECAUSE SHE WAS A SEXY GODDESS FROM THE HEAVENS!!??"

"I guess."

"You're so stupid. Nothing's changed," I sighed.

"HEY! I'd watch how I throw that word around. You did that, too," He pointed out.

"Uh-huh, then why'd you date her?" Seth asked.

"Yeah, right." Seth laughed.

"Just watch. Soon, you'll become addicted to her uh... brattiness."

"Is that even a word?" He suddenly wondered aloud.

"Actually, I'm not sure."

"Do you have a dictionary?" Seth asked.

"No, but we have phones," I replied.

"Let's check!" He exclaimed.

We immediately gave each other knowing glances.

"BETTTTT TIMMMEEE!" We screamed simultaneously.

Good thing this place is pretty much empty, otherwise we'd really look-well, uh... interesting.

"I bet it's a word," I told him.

"How much? I'll place twenty."

"One."

"DOLLAR!?" Seth screamed in shock.

"Well, duh."

"When did you get so smart?" He asked.

"Well, last time, I bet one hundred bucks... I lost. You taught me not to get my hopes so high," I said, kind of missing him as a friend.
