So today I feel like writing abt deep stuff and...yh....read if u want...it's soppy and deals with my feelings....so....ur welcome:)

I grew up fearing my emotions, fearing fear itself perhaps. I was scared of crying, of letting my feelings show. Gradually my emotions disappeared, or for lack of a better word...were cut off from me, and that changed who I was, and who i'd become.

Then I listened to Broken Home by, you guessed it, 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS). For the first time in months...maybe years, I cried properly; genuine tears. Of joy, of the sadness the song spoke about, of hope that one day things will get better. It opened up a dam inside of me and I began to feel again.

Now this may seem weird to you, but music started to become my escape and now, it always will be.I play the piano and flute and I used to play violin whenever my emptions threatened to overwhelm me. I constantly listened to their songs and I watched all their keeks, youtube videos, I read fanfictions, sang covers of their songs and found out their backstories.

The thing that startled me the most was, unlike other celebrities, they weren't that rich and famous to start. They were just regular guys, idiots who loved annoying each other but bonded closely over their passion for music. They aren't afraid to speak out about real life problems they and many people went through and yes, like everyone else, they make mistakes. They started out with next to no income and just their talents and they've come so so far.

They've touched hearts, warmed souls, changed humans and saved lives. I honestly could not have gotten through the best part of 2 years without them. They helped me find the light in the darkness and picked up the broken pieces of my jet black heart ( see what I did there? *smirky emoji*)Sorry to ruin the mood, I had to end with something somewhat cheerful lmao

I may not have been part of the 5sosfam from the beginning but thank you Calum, Luke, Ashton and Michael for being there, and I'm so grateful for your music, even though you guys won't ever see this❤️❤️❤️❤️
