Waves and waves of hopelessness
Battering you as you valiantly try to fight them
Each one stronger than the last
Torrential waves slamming into you again and again
You start to see stars
Blackness threatens to overwhelm you
You start gulping in lungfuls of air
Preparing for the next wave
But this one is stronger than you thought
You're choking and spluttering
You're drowning and there's not a thing you can do
Fight it, they cry
You can do it
Come on, rlly try
