Chapter 20 - A New Life Will Come.

"Lyla wake up." 

Chase was at her bedroom door.

"Do I have to Chase?"

"Lyla, it's been a week since you and Kyle broke up. This isn't healthy."

"How do you know? You and Jenna never broke up..."

"Yeah well... Jenna has. Plus all of your friends are worried about you."

"Fine."

About 30 minutes later Lyla comes walking down the stairs, looking fresh.

"Morning Lyla!" Shane said.

"Morning Dad." Lyla said, "Why are you making breakfast? You aren't exactly the best chef in the world."

"Yeah well a certain someone was in their room sleeping so waking them up seemed rude."

The door bell rings.

"I'll get it. Lyla you cook." Chase said, "And Dad, stay away from the kitchen."

Chase opens the door.

"Um... Lyla... it's for you."

Lyla comes to the door to see who it is.

"Hi Lyla." They said.

"H-Hi Kyle." She replied.

"Um... sorry to interrupt your morning but I've got something for you."

It's a bouquet. Of daisies. Lyla's favourite flower.

"Daisies." Lyla said.

"It's just a peace offering."

Lyla takes the daisies.

"Thanks I guess."

"Bye."

Lyla shuts the door.

"Why did he have to come?!" Lyla says, "Just when I got over him"

Lyla's phone rings. It's Jacob.

"Lyla, Mimi's baby is early! Come to Midvale Hospital. Please!" Jacob says.

"Okay I'm coming!" Lyla said.

"What's up, Honey?" Shane said.

"Mimi's baby is early. I need to get to the hospital. I'll see you later."

Lyla grabs her keys and gets into her to and drives to Midvale Hopsital.
