Chapter 22

"Carlisle and Esme are here," Kate said, rising from her seat and heading to the door. A few moments later, they joined us in the sitting room. Esme smiled at me softly, noticing that I wanted to regress.

"Thank you again," Carlisle said to Kate.

"Anything for family. Besides, we might as well get some use out of these rooms," Kate said.

"Wanna head out?" Jasper asked lowly, causing me to nod slowly. If I were human, the action would've been seen as something done while tired, but I can't technically feel tired anymore. Sometimes, I just need a rest, and Jasper is more than willing to calm me down enough for me to sleep.

The first time it ever happened, Jasper and I both freaked out completely. Vampires aren't supposed to be able to sleep, but, between his gift and our connection as mates, he can calm me down enough for me to sleep.

"Thank you all for everything, but Vivian and I are going to head to our cabin for a while," Jasper said, standing up and holding me on his hip without thinking anything of it.

"Feel free to come up and visit us whenever you would like. We don't care," Tanya said.

"Thank you again," Jasper said, nodding politely before speeding out of the house and off towards our cabin.

"Babygirl, do you want to regress or explore first?" Jasper asked, stopping outside the door.

"Explore," I said. He nodded, setting me down on my feet and grabbing my hand before leading me into the cabin. There was a nice sitting area with a TV, fireplace, and shelves packed with our books and movies. To the left of the door, there was a short hallway with two doors off of it. The door on the right led to a baby pink nursery.

"If you want," Jasper said, opening the door.

"Jazzy, it's amazing," I said, wrapping my arms around him tightly.

"I know you probably won't be able to sleep in here, but you've got your stuffies and what not in here. Plus, if the Denali's wanna come down here, we can just shut the door and it will be fine," he explained.

"Thank you so much Daddy," I said, hugging him tightly.

"You're so welcome cutie," he said. He pulled the door to the nursery shut and opened the door to our bedroom that had a huge walk-in closet and an en suite.

"Come here Princess," Jasper said, leading me over to the bed.

"What's up?" I asked, laying down beside him and facing him.

"I love you so so much," he said, kissing my nose.

"I love you too Daddy," I said, kissing his lips quickly.

"Do you want to regress?" He asked lowly. His hand slipped into mine and started to spin the ring on my left hand.

"What's wrong?" I asked softly. I could tell he was worried about something.

"I'm just a tad stressed after everything that happened with Edward and Bella, and now, being here where they don't know about us, it just keeps getting worse. I'll be fine though," he said, kissing my forehead.

"You sure?" I asked. He nodded before lifting his eyes to meet mine.

"Go ahead and regress love. We both need it," he said.
