~Lance’s POV~
I walk to Keith’s room and take a deep breath before knocking on the door. A couple laughs were heard before the door opened and Keith stood next to Shiro in the doorway.
“Oh, hey Lance. What’s up?” He asks, looking at me. I take a shakey breath.
“I-I have something I need to tell you Keith…” I whisper.
“And what would that be?”
“I-I like you Keith… l-like, romantically…” I stutter out, daring to look at him. He only sighed.
“This isn’t another one of your jokes is it?”
“N-no. I’m s-serious.” I say, hurt that he thought I was joking.
“Lance… how do I put this… I don’t feel the same way about you. Plus, Shiro and I are already together.” He says, looking up at the taller male as Shiro wrapped his arm around Keith’s waist. I take a deep breath and throw on the best fake smile I could muster.
“O-oh… I understand. I’m happy for you.” I lie, turning on my heel and walking away.
That’s how it all started. That’s how I got Hanahaki disease.
