PART TWO

George dropped me off at the park, since I didn't want to go home or go with him to his fiancé' house.

I walked to me and Tony's secret hangout, that only the two of us know about, to watch the sunset and draw it.

I stopped short of the clearing when I heard voices coming from our secret spot. So, I walked closer peeking through the bushes,

"Colt, what are we doing out here?" A female voice asked. It couldn't be.... Maybe it wasn't, maybe it was just my imagination,

"I want to show you something Carrie."

I recognized his voice. NO!

"I hate it out here!" She complained, then she gasped, "oh, my! It's beautiful!"

I've never seen this 'Carrie' up close but now that I do, I can understand why he likes her so much. She is beautiful, like, drop dead gorgeous! With them standing next to each other, they looked like the power model couple; they looked like they actually belonged together.

"No one knows about this spot except for me and Aurora, and well now you!"

"What's your deal with her anyway?" She huffed, "do you like her or something?"

"What? No! No way, that can never happen!" My heart broke a little at what he said, "she is my best friend!"

"A guy and a girl can't be best friends Colton! Especially if the guy has a girlfriend now!"

"I can make time for you both, I told you this before!"

They went quiet, I leaned forward a bit to hear better,

"What's that name you call her?"

"Tink?"

"Yeah, how come you never gave me a nickname?"

"I don't know, I just never thought of it!" he ran his hand trough his hair. He does that when hes nervous or anxious,

"Well think of one now, because it's not fair!"

Demanding much?

"Uhhhh, sweet pea?"

"Ew,"

"Cupcake?"

"Oh god no!"

"Sugarplum?"

"No, this is not going to work." She turned and faced the water, he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her torso,

"Then you choose one babe and I'll start calling you that!"

"Tink!" She didn't even hesitate,

"But..." He stuttered, pulling back from her,

"I want that and I want you to stop talking to her,"

What? No. Please, God, no.

I started backing up and took off running. I felt something drop to the ground, but I just didn't want to be around here anymore!

I ran...

I ran as fast as I could towards my house.
