CHAPTER 30

I opened the door and walked into the corridor. I didn't hear any footsteps behind me and it meant he wasn't following me. I half ran to Jane's room. I folded into myself and cried uncontrollably. I was shattered and it was because of my stupidity. I felt like going back to his room and apologizing but my pride wouldn't let me do it. If he hadn't followed me then it meant he wanted out too.

Jane and Julie got in and came to where I was seated on the floor. They both had worried looks on their faces.

"What is it dear? Why are you like this?" Jane asked rubbing my back.

"Yes darling. Why are you crying." Julie added.

"We broke up. It was out of my stupidity. He doesn't care about me Jane!"

"What! You can't break up just like that. Roy loves you and cares about you dear. He has never been like this with any woman." Jane said still rubbing my back.

"Roy loves you Jackie. What made you break up anyway?" Julie asked giving me an amazed look. I stood up and sat on the bed.

"He is so controlling. He makes all the decisions without involving me. I didn't know we were supposed to go anywhere until he mentioned it at the table. I'm so suffocated by all this." Tears were still flowing freely down my face.

"Really girl? Is this why you walked out on us during breakfast. You are being petty. What is it to you as long as you are happy? After all that Roy has done to make you happy and you broke up with him for such a petty reason? You are my friend but I'm on Roy's side. You know how much he loves you. Everyone at work knows that too and you are here breaking up with him! Do you know how many ladies want to be in your position? Just get your shit together and go to that room and apologize to him!" Julie said glaring at me.

"I'm sorry but I agree with Julie on this one dear. You need to apologize." Jane was always soft on me.

"What? Are you two saying I'm at fault here? I can't apologize. Can we stay at your place until tomorrow Julie?"

"You can but I still think you are making a serious mistake dear. Just think about it." Julie said and shifted her gaze to the door. I followed her gaze and Roy was leaning on the door looking at me. His eyes were red. He had been crying. Veins had formed on his face and I felt like hauling myself at him and apologizing for my stupidity but my pride wouldn't let me.

Jane and Julie made for the door and I followed them but he pulled me back to the room and closed the door behind us. He pinned me on the wall and held me tightly until I couldn't breathe.

"You are hurting me Roy. I can't breath." I said amidst gasps. He let me go and put his hands on the wall on either side of my face. He rubbed his nose on mine and I let my tears flow unrestrained.

"Why are you doing this baby? Why do you want to hurt me?" I could see tears in his eyes. He was still rubbing his nose on mine.

" I just feel suffocated by all your surprises. I need to go Roy." My words hurt me more.

"I'm not letting you go baby. I'm shattered by all this and I know you are too. I can see this in your eyes. Your tears say it all." He wiped away my tears with his hands and held my face in his hands.

"Don't do this to me baby! Please don't leave me. I can't stay a minute longer without you. I understand what you want and I will involve you in my decisions from now on. Give me this last chance to prove to you how much I love you." His lips touched mine and I lost it. I entangled my arms on his neck and kissed him passionately. We stopped and gasped for breathes.

"I love you baby!"

"I love you too Roy."

"Now let's get out of Jane's room before we get naughty here!" He swooped me up and kissed me lightly. I giggled as he took me to his room and put me on the bed. He lay on top of me and looked down at me.

" I'm sorry for making you cry baby." He caressed my face and kissed me lightly.

"I'm sorry for being petty. I shouldn't have."

"Hush baby! You are not being petty. I understand what you mean. I would feel the same way too." He caressed my face and I relaxed under him. I was about to make a stupid mistake which I would have regretted my whole life.

"That dinner baby, will you kindly come with me? I don't want to disappoint the hosts. Please say yes!" He was rubbing his lips on mine and it was so hard to say no.

"We will go with you!"

"you need a shower baby. Your eyes are swollen and I don't want us to go there when you are like this. I will run a bath for you."

He ran a bath and led me to the bathroom. I was still in my dressing gown and he helped me peel it off my body. He helped me into the water and got in. He pulled me to him hugging me from behind such that I sat between his legs.The water was soothing and I relaxed in his arms. He took the clothe and ran it through my body washing me gently. I made involuntary gasps and moans and he chuckled.

"This is what you would be missing if you walked out of that door. Where were you going baby?" He asked in a whisper and nibbled at my ear.

"I don't know. That was so stupid of me. I almost lost you." I said in an equal whisper.

"You won't be leaving me any soon. I'm not losing you. That will shatter me completely." He was still whispering.

"You know you are turning me on?" I gasped as he ran the cloth softly on my body.

"I know but I won't turn off that heat. I'm punishing you for making me cry." I could feel his warm breathe on my skin.

"Did I make you cry?"

"Yes. I couldn't help it when you walked out of that door."

"I'm sorry about that."

" It's fine baby. We are now good. Let's get out of here. Jane and Julie must be worried about us."

"Really baby?"

"Really what love?"

"You are not making love to me?"

"Not at all. That's what you get for wanting to leave me."

He lifted me and set me to stand on the floor. He had turned me on and left me high and dry.

"You know what baby? You will pay for this?"

"I'm waiting for that baby. You talk a lot." He chuckled and wiped me. He then led me to the bedroom and chose a red dinner dress and inner wears for me. He then helped me dress and comb my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. He hugged me from behind and smiled at me on the mirror.

" You are so beautiful baby. Let's go downstairs and wait for Jane to prepare Braden. He turned me to face him and kissed me lightly on the lips. He then took my hand and led me downstairs. Jane and Julie saw us and smiled.

"Finally I can go home in peace. I was so worried about you." Julie said with a warm smile on her face.

"I'm happy for you two. If you try this again I will discipline you. You two are like my children." Jane said looking at us lovingly and we chuckled.

"It's your daughter here. She is so stubborn." He wrapped his hand around my waist and we laughed.

"I am glad you two are back together. I wish you all the best." Julie still had the smile on her face.

" Thanks Julie. We are so grateful." Roy smiled back at her.

"She is my friend but I will whip her for you if she tries this again."

We all laughed at Julie's words and Roy kissed me on the forehead as we settled on the couch to wait for Jane to prepare Braden .
