"Hello?", A voice echoed Katherine's head, "Catgirl?"

Like anyone would after being woken up by a stranger telepathically, Katherine jolted up and flipped herself over, so her intruder was pinned beneath her, claws at their throat.

What made it worse was her intruder was alien- a green martian, like Martian Manhunter. She had brown eyes, currently wide with fear, and ginger-ish hair that fell to her shoulders. She wore human clothes, but was still very clearly alien.

Katherine hated aliens.

Ever since her and Felix's first encounter with Superman as kids she'd been terrified of aliens and their powers that matched even those of demigods.

"Who...who..", Katherine tried to talk but a heavy wave of nausea hit her, making it hard to stay balanced on, forgot interrogate the alien girl.

Almost instantly Katherine collapsed onto her. The girl gasped, not because she was uncomfortable, but because she was scared. "Catgirl?!", she panicked, sitting up with Katherine in her arms.

"Someone help me!", she anxiously yelled in Katherine's head, "Something's wrong with Catgirl!"

Katherine groaned, pulling her hands to her head to try get rid of the pain. "Stop it...please.." , She forced herself to respond despite every cell in her body telling her not to.

Telepathy and Katherine never mixed.

Her mother, Bastet, designed her that way. She did this incase Katherine used someone to help retrieve her memories if she were to come back to life with nothing. A shortcut that wasn't allowed.

Even without trying to use it to regain her memories, any time she got near any sort of mental powers, Katherine would experience symptoms that weakened her until she lost consciousness, eventually killing her, if efforts continued.

It was arguably worse than her fatigue weakness- definitely more painful.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for the boys to burst in yelling.

"Stop using your powers on her!"

"You're going to kill her, stop it!"

"Miss Martian, stop!"

'Miss Martian', as she was called, cut the mental link between them almost instantly, and the pain in Katherine's head eased. Still, she rest her head on the martian's shoulder, exhausted from the pain. She was only in the mental link for a few seconds but it was draining.

Martians had always been her most hated alien because of that; it was why she feared them the most.

Luckily, all the martians she knew were heroes with morals against killing her, so it rarely happened.

"And that's why I wear my cowl...", Katherine noted aloud, slowly getting up from the bed and looking down at her ripped suit.

She'd noticed Robin's suit in the Cadmus aftermath, but hadn't noticed how bad her own was.

It was making all the boys divert their eyes.

Katherine scoffed at them in amusement and covered up the sideboob she was showing. "Oh, come on, It's moderately safe to look, boys.", she teased, glancing at the rips and tears on her stomach, legs and arms.

She honestly didn't think the explosion was that bad. Maybe that was because Kid Flash took most of the rubble meant for her when Cadmus fell.

"Really.", Katherine rolled her eyes, "My suit's lasted this long, it'll hold together."
