Holding back tears, we say farewell

But we didn't know what we'd signed up for

The next three weeks is a scary ride

As we try to cope without each other for the first time

The teachers tried to make it work

But they didn't understand, I wouldn't heal

A life without her would be no life at all

I forgot how much I loved her and so did she

We missed the hugs, cotton candy, and roller coaster rides,

The memories we used to share, they've stopped building

Just stayed where they were, but they're starting to fade

Yet the wounds of separation never got any better

Messages were scarce, they stopped getting through

My heart began to break, it hurt and it wouldn't stop-

Surely you haven't replaced me? For I haven't replaced you.

Everyone used to sympathize with me when she'd first gone

But that was just for a mere few months, maybe even weeks

Slowly but surely, they began to scatter, 

Sending me looks of pity and sneers as they walked past me

As if they didn't know me at all

I tried to change, to forget about her,

But how? It was impossible

Everywhere I went, I saw skies of blue

That she used to love, to take photos of

The blue of her smiling eyes

And every time I manage to forget about her,

I'd find a photo, one of her hair ties, an old email-

And I'd fall back into the cycle back again

Will I ever get out of this cycle of tears and lies?

Please send me a message, wherever you are,

Tell me you're alright, tell me you're fine

And that you haven't forgotten me

I'm lost, stuck in a sea of memories, unable to get out-

Next chapter might be up soon, but I have to redo 2 and a half terms of math work (okay maybe not but technically yes) because I lose stuff and yeah. IF YOU DON'T LIKE MATH ILY, BUT IF YOU DO IT'S FINE YOU'RE AWESOME ANYWAY :D
