There are times when you want to throw a friend away

To leave her by the ocean, to stay there in the day

But have you ever wondered, what's its like to feel

Lost and unspoken in the rain?

You tell her it's fine and everything's the same

But when have you stopped to think about it?

For when the sun goes down, there'll be nowhere else to stay

Sometimes you like to tease her with threats in the day

And taunts when you leave her at night

And maybe she can't stand it, but what else can she say?

She's scared of you, and the way you play

But maybe one day you'll turn back round

And understand how much of an impact you have made

I'm not sure if you know this

But everyone's the same-it's just you that feels this way

I'm scared of losing sleep thinking about you

I wish I could get her back from you

And save her when it's May

So long it's gone on, but I can't see your hiding place

Every day you come to me, tell me that's she's gone

And that I'll never find a way

But I promise, I will, for the unknown is true,

I do have an equal chance as you do

And this time, I know that I'm right
