A/N: Sorry for the lack of updates, I wasn't able to get into the editing mode thingy of this book for some reason so it sort of took a while for me to get in and start writing. Hope you like this!

She stood alone in the rain

Without anyone for company

He'd said he'd be there by six

But an hour had gone by 

And he still hadn't arrived

She checked her phone for messages

No reply had come through

She sighed and let a tear roll down her face

Maybe they really weren't meant to be

Miles away

Stuck next to a ditch on the road

Sat in his father's brand-new car

No older than sixteen

Was a boy, struck with worry

He was late for his date with a girl he loved

And his phone was out of battery

He looked out of the window 

Into the pouring rain

There was no sign of rescue

He sighed, his face full of despair,

Maybe they really weren't meant to be

She stared out into the rain

Her eyes darting around, looking for the boy

But there was no sign of his dark hair

Nor the car he'd said he'd come in

She wiped a tear away

Trying to convince herself it was fine

Maybe he was just stuck somewhere

Somewhere near her

He looked around desperately

Was that red hair he saw in the distance?

He squinted, trying to see through the rain

A relieved smile broke out when he saw her

Maybe he could make it after all

So he ran

The rain poured harder as he did

But his main focus was to get to her

To envelope her in his arms

And tell her it would always be alright

In the end

She heard, in the distance,

Footsteps, splattering against the ground

Faint, but it was there

She looked up, her eyes full of hope,

Breaking into a smile when she saw him

Maybe, at last,

It'd all be fine

Maybe, at last,

They'd make it through the storm

Maybe, at last,

It'd finally be alright

Okay so if you're still here, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE READS AND SUPPORT!! I know this is weird but I cannot get over the fact that this is on the rankings, like at #679-I know I don't deserve that and it's probably a one-time thing but still, I really really appreciate that. Thanks and I'll try to get a new one up by this Saturday, if I can.

Oh, and also, the June Holidays are coming up soon (I'm so excited finally no more school) so there'll probably be more updates. :)
