You know what they said about life being easy?

You know when they told you to stop whining and start doing?

Well, I wish they'd stop

Life isn't always an easy ride

It goes up and down on the tracks,

Bumpy and overused.

I'm tired of the way things have been.

When they told me life was smooth, no problems faced,

I had my doubts, but who was I to deny it?

It was easier to go with the flow anyway, so I did that

But now I regret not saying anything

My life's a lie, my memories are lost

The void that used to be filled lays empty

As I struggle to get together again

Every day I wake up to see another version of myself

Every day I look in the mirror and I hate myself

Every day I go to school like I used to do

But something's changed

Suddenly I feel the constricting pain in my throat

As I wonder if what everyone's said about me was true

Or if they'd lied to me like everyone else 

I used to have dreams, ambition and all of the above,

But where are they now? 

I can't find them-are they missing?

Did they fly away into the sunset, leaving me crushed?

Because I don't feel the same

Not anymore, at least.

Those days are gone-

It's time to start anew,

And this time, I'll be unstoppable.
