19) The Reach

3rd POV

The team has been right away planning on a rescue mission. First step. Robin, Batgirl and Bumblebee sneak into the captured innocent and get 'captured' too. Nightwing, Miss Martian and Wonder Girl are in the bioship and are waiting in the water, at the location they track from the device in Lagoon Boy's blood stream.

''So this is the light's partner. That ship shares the same alien's design sensibility as the bomb that destroyed Malina island and Mount Justice.'' Says Nightwing and have a good look at the alien ship.

''Kind of reminds me of Blue's armor.'' Added Wonder Girl. Miss Martian stand up and get ready to swim underwater. Gills, invisible, ready to go.

''Alpha squad, I am heading into the alien ship. Are you aboard?'' Ask Miss Martian.

''Affirmative. We are in some kind of docking bay. We have a visual on the new aliens, A.K.A the Kroloteans competitor, A.K.A the light's partner. And we got other company. It's Aqualad. If he makes us, we are over.'' Informed Batgirl.

''Stay well. He won't be looking for you. Just don't attract attention.'' Order Nightwing. Without Wonder Girl watching, took Nightwing the crystal necklace in his hands. ''And remember to have a lookout for Jewel. I have a big feeling that this is the big partner the villain from Galexmentia ment.'' Miss Martian move to the next lap and see two pods in the room.

''I found Gar and Bart. They are unconscious but alive. No sign of Jaime, (Y/N) or La'gaan.'' Says Miss Martian.

''We got eyes on Lagoon Boy, and... Shimmer? Plus 4 civilians and all the teens we came with.'' Batgirl and Robin watch the reach people walking away, leaving them alone. ''We are unsupervised now, but Blue and Jewel is still unaccounted for. An escape could trigger a response. Do we wait.''

''Negative, alpha. Make your move. Before you need rescuing, too. You, too, Miss M. Get our boys.'' Says Nightwing. M'gann didn't waist time and free the two boys. Impulse go out on his own and try to find Blue Beetle. Where Tigress is, does she get flipped by Superboy in the enemies cloths. He is to cover the docking bay. Things were going so fast, that the team has full hands on getting the civilians out. Impulse run through door to door and finally find Jaime. He is getting shocked, so Impulse hit the scientist away and get him out.

''Bart?'' Says Jaime weakly.

''It's me, but where is (Y/N)?'' Ask Bart.

''They took her somewhere else, some hours ago.'' Bart nodded and help Jaime out and to the docking bay. As for (Y/N), is she inside a tube with different wires attract to her body and water surrounding her. No one is in the lab, only the princess who's power is making crystal on their own. Someone step inside the lab, looking at (Y/N) sadly.

''I am sorry that this is what you are going through. But I will get you out of here and back home. Nightwing will get you out of there and keep you safe while the reach is here.'' The person press some buttons witch make the tube get inside a metal pod. Disconnecting to everything, ready to get send away. The tube fall down slowly and into a torpedo position. The person press the last button and the tube get shoot away.

''Tigress, report.'' Comes from the communicator.

''The tube is gone. Those heroes got it and are gone.'' Answer Artemiss. 

''Understood. We will get at least her back.'' Says the ambassador.

*Time skip*

''So this is Mount Justice?'' Ask Beast Boy and look at the rumble remains of the old base.

''That's right.'' Says Nightwing sadly, not for the mountain, but for they didn't safe (Y/N). It was the number one order they got when she arrived. To keep her safe and away from the bad guys hands. Miss Martian notice his sadness and comfort him.

''We will get her back.'' Try M'gann, but it didn't work.

''I know, but this is her worse fear coming to reality. She saw her inside the enemies lab and what terror will happen to her. Jade even trusted us to keep far away from any alien until he return, and look where we are. We lost the princess to the enemy, who only wanna use her as his money maker.'' Grumble Nightwing in rage. He take a look at the necklace, wishing she is alright.

''Hey, is it supposed to shine like that?'' Ask Superboy. Nightwing take a closer look at the crystal. The bottom of it is shining, like it's trying to guide him. Nightwing turn around and watch the light switch up to the front.

''It's want me to go out to the ocean?'' Says Nightwing and walk to the beach. Out in the sight of the water line is something floating.

''What is that?'' Ask Bumblebee. La'gaan dive into the water to get it. When he come back to the shore, is the big metal tube in there hands.

''Same design as the Reach's pods.'' Says Robin. Nightwing start hacking and got it open. He look inside and get surprised.

''(Y/N)... We have to get her to the watch tower. Help transport it.'' The team nodded and the strong member lift it up. The tube isn't heavy at all, so it was easy to transport it. At the watch tower is Aquaman guarding the computer, but his attention turn to the group of young team member who has entered the tower.

''What is that thing?'' Ask Aquaman. They make the tube stand up and have a good look at (Y/N).

''We need to get her out.'' Says Impulse and look around the tube to find the controller. ''I am from the future and I remember these tubes. They make your power work on their own.'' Informed Bart and find the control panel. He press some button and watch the water come out from the bottom. ''Get ready to catch.'' The one standing in front of (Y/N) is Wonder Girl. The tube opens and the wire de-attract from (Y/N)'s body, and let her fall into Wonder Girl's arms. Aquaman run beside her and check her for injuries.

''She have a highly fever. Some of her blood veins are visible, we need to treat right now. She may have poison inside of her.'' Informed Aquaman and take (Y/N) into his own hands. Nightwing follow Aquaman into the medical room and help with treating her.

''You are going to be fine, (Y/N). Just hang on.''
