《Chapter 27》Finishing Up

"Come on Tyler... show us the room?" I asks. He looks away from me. "No. First tell me how you knew about this" he says, sounding slightly concerned.

"Whoa, calm down.. Amy told me" I answer "A-are you...okay with it?" He ask looking down "what? Why wouldn't I be okay with it?" I ask, a bit confused

Suddenly Tyler steps closer and pulls me into a hug "wha-" shocked I awkwardly hug him back, he stays back and let's out a sigh.

"What's wrong?" I ask, still confused by what just happened "it's..nothing.. thank you" he smiles at me, I give him and understanding nod.

"So...about that room" David interrupts "Yeah.. I'll show you tomorrow" he answers as he starts walking back to the living room "let's just finish the rest first"

We all join him and finish unpacking and moving everything.

"Is this everything? David asks, standing in the middle of the room "I think so.." Tyler says as he joins him to take a good look around

"It looks great, David answers as he gives Tyler a friendly push.

"Hey? What time is it?" I ask as I walk towards them as well.

Tyler takes out his phone to check, but seems surprised by the time "oh.. I thought it would be earlier.."

"What is it?" David asks as he looks over to his phone "oh, woah. We should really get going"

"Wait.. really? I was kind of hoping to see the rest again.." I answer... I wasn't lying it was kind of part of the whole reason I came here.

"Well.. you could stay here for the night.." Tyler suggests "really!?" I ask enthusiastically "Yeah.. there's room enough..." he shrugs

"That would be awesome.." Adam answers from behind me. "Then I guess it's settled" David says as he falls down on the couch

"Just... don't make a mess, please" Tyler demands, "who do you think we are...we helped clean it up, why would we ruin our own work?" David answers

"True...just...be careful" he looks over at us "and don't do anything weird in my house, understood" he smirks.

"Tyler!-" I start walking towards him, he giggles and quickly walks to the front door "bye guys, have fun" he waves and disappears behind the door.

"I call the bed!" David yells as he starts running towards the bedroom "wait-" before I could stop him, he's already locked himself inside.

"Now what?" I said looking around. "I guess... the couch.." Adam says as he starts walking towards the living room.

"Ugh, are you serious, again" I complain as I get down on one of the couches.

"Haha.. your fault for sleeping on the couch" Adam giggles as he walks over to the other couch as well.

"Okay, fair enough" I lay down on the couch "next time we'll sleep in my bed"

"We?" Adam says as he gets on the other couch. "Yeah, don't tell me you forgot when you woke up"

Even though it's dark, I could see him blush, I let out a small chuckle.

"I'm just messing with you" I say, only half joking.

"Sure.."

It gets quiet and we both try to fall asleep. We couldn't find any blankets so we were just laying on the couch, using the pillows that were already there. David stole everything in the bedroom, so there was literally nothing.

Maybe if we asked Tyler he would find something, but I didn't want to risk asking him and spoiling the surprise.

luckily we were working pretty hard all day, we were tired enough to fall asleep and ignore the cold.

"Hey.. wake up!" I slowly opened my eyes to see Adam looking down at me. "Not yet, I'm tired" I say as turn around.

"You have to, Tyler will be here any minute" he says as he sits down next to my legs.

"Where David?" I ask looking around the room, still half asleep. "He went outside for a walk, I don't know how long he'll be gone.." he answers

I turn around to face the ceiling again, trying to wake up. "This couch is way more comfortable then my couch at home" I say as I stretch. "I know.." he answers quietly.

I grab his arm and pull him down on top of me "What are you-" "I'm cold" I say with a laugh.

For a second he tries to get back up, but his hand slips off the couch and fall back down. "be careful" I laugh as I help him back up.

"Why did you do that" he asks, as he gives up in escaping my grip. "Why not, isn't it comfortable" I say, looking down at him.

He averts his gaze and starts turning bright red. I let out a laugh and pull him back up to a seating position. "Adorable" I whisper

I sit beside him and lean my head on his shoulders, looking around the room. "Hey?" "Hmm?"

"When we're older, want to get a house too" I ask, still looking around "w-what?!" He asks surprised.

"I-I mean, wouldn't it be fun" I lift my head to looking at his face "I- I guess" he says, not making eye contact. "You do realize we're still just in high school, isn't it a bit too early to think about that kind of stuff" he asks, slowly looking back at me

"Yeah, but still. I would really like it" I say as he turns his head to face me. "Mhm.."

We lock eyes and it gets quiet.

"Guys, not your house" we suddenly hear David walk in. "What? Who-  no" Adam says as he gets up and walks towards the door.

"Right..so..when's Tyler coming back?" David asks.  I pick up my phone and notice a text message saying he'll be here, any minute. "Oh, I think we should hide somewhere"

"Wait? Why?" David asks confused "because it's a surprise, not only the house, but she can't know we're here just yet"

Just as I finish the sentence, I start hearing footsteps outside "quick, Uhm...the closet!" I quickly push them into the nearest room.
