《Chapter 22》"Bad Boyfriend"

"Don't sleep on the couch" I fall down, and when I look up I see my brother standing above me

"hey, why did you do that?" I pull myself up.  By now my ankle has almost fully healed.

Back home, it was finally spring break, I've been waiting for a week of being lazy. After the trip, my foot has almost completely healed, I still try to rest.. but that might just be me being lazy.

"You"re not going to comment on the fact that I'm back?" He asks as he takes a seat on the couch "oh yeah, why are you back, did they kick you out or something "no" he gives me a push and takes out his phone

"then why are you back?"

"Vacation"

before I could ask any more questions, my mom comes home "oh, Micheal? You're back already?" She ask, obviously not expecting him back either "Yeah, why are you all so surprised? Nathan has a week off too, right?" He says as he lowers his phone

"Yeah, of course, I just didn't expect you back this early, is all" she puts away her stuff, and takes a seat in between us

"so, how is college" he sighs and gives us all his attention "it's fine." He says, smiling slightly "that's good. Made any friends yet" my mom continues "Yeah.."

"got a girlfriend yet" I add, smirking. "I could ask you the same thing" right after he answers, my mothers eyes lock onto mine

"that's true, what about you?" She asks curious. I give Micheal an irritated look, and stare back at my mother "I-.. " I look away, trying to avoid the question "Nathan?-" before she could start asking again, the phone rings and my mom gets up to see who it is, I get up as well and walk over to the stairs

"hey? Where. Are you going, we're talking here." Micheal yells from the couch, I look over to him and his face changes from smirking, to looking a bit worried. I continue walking upstairs to my room.

I fall onto my bed. "That was close" I sigh and reach. In my pocket to get my phone. I look to see a lot of missed messages.

Because we still have things to do with this group.

Yeah, we have to write our experience and stuff.

Emily
Yup! That's why you're here too, we're not going to do your work for you.

Oh ok

Wait? What are you talking about, I thought the trip was over.

Emily
It is, but the work isn't....unfortunately

Daniel
Yeah. They're going to make us write a report, about everything that happened. You didn't know we're getting a grade on this.

Rachel
Wat. That's so unfair!!
