Preparing for the End

Phoenix's POV:

I found myself in Camp Jupiter, in front of the entire legion as they were shouting questions at where Percy was. Everyone was worried that he hasn't been seen for months, and they all wanted answers.

"SHUT UP!" I shouted at them as they all quieted down and I raised my voice so everyone could hear "Your Praetor, Percy Jackson, was sent on a mission from Chaos, however, some complications arose and he was... captured by Tartarus" I said and they all started shouting again "QUIET!!" I yelled as I summoned my wings and everyone instantly shut up "Thank you, we are doing our best to rescue him but in the meantime, the legion will be transported out east to Camp Half blood to train with the Greeks, we are doing this because we need everyone to be ready to defend Olympus from the Giants" I announced and everyone was dead silent

"We'll go. We owe it to Percy" Dakota from the fifth cohort said and the entire cohort cheered in agreement

Soon, the other Cohorts joined in with the cheering before they started chanting 'Percy' which I found comforting as I raised a hand and quieted them down.

"Thank you all for your cooperation, the Gods will be helping transport everyone to Camp Half-Blood" I finished as Hermes, Apollo, and Ares arrived and the Romans started splitting up to go with each god

I flame traveled to the Greek camp and made sure everyone knew what was going to happen just as the romans arrived.

"Now, if there are any complications, sort them out nicely or else there will be consequences" I said and they all nodded and I smiled as I turned and walked to the center of the camp where a small fire was at and I sat down and sighed

"Rough day babe?" I heard someone say and I turned my head and saw Heather with an iris message and I smiled slightly at her

"Yeah, Percy's gone, Olympus is in chaos, Chaos got them to finally take action, we just got the romans to Camp Half Blood, and now im just resting before I go help Katelyn with the war ships" I said and she smiled softly "What are you and the hunters up too?"

"Well, right now were at a dig site in Athens and were making our way to the Parthenon as we caught wind that's where the Giants are at, so were going to hold a perimeter there until the armies can arrive" She said and I nodded "Anyway, I have to go, take care Phoenix and keep everyone in line please" She said and I nodded again

"Will do talk to you later" I said and the message gave out and I flame traveled to Hephaestus' palace

I knocked on the door which opened immediately allowing me to walk in where I found Katelyn working on one of many large warships.

"Phoenix, yours is the one on the far right, have fun" Katelyn said and I nodded as I rushed over to the warship, grabbed a tool belt and started working

Guardians were trained in every aspect, so while I am Hestia's guardian, I knew how to build machinery, maybe not as good as Katelyn but I could do pretty good. I soon became lost in thought as I built the warship.

(One Month Later (Yes It's rushed, I am out of my element with Lunar not here so meh))

I overlooked the clouds as I piloted the warship down towards camp from Olympus. The past month had been hectic as Chaos was like a cattle driver, constantly pushing the gods and guardians to their max, except for Artemis who he treated like his own daughter.

Artemis, she has gotten worse as time passed. Her heart not being able to take the fact of losing Percy again has weakened her to a state that makes her vulnerable to fading, something that not even Chaos can prevent. She spends most of her time in her room on Olympus crying or sleeping. We've tried everything from plays to funny pranks to public castration but nothing seems to work. I can only hope that she gets better soon or else we may lose this war against the Giants.

I descended the ship down next to the others that were hovering above the camp making it seem like we were getting ready for a full scale invasion. I jumped off the helm and over to the starboard bow and when I looked down I saw everyone formed up and ready to go.

"Phoenix" I heard a familiar voice say and I turned around and saw Chaos

He had bags under his eyes and his once jet black hair was now pure white as the stress from the past month had made him seem to age millions of years. However, he still held himself tall and he still produced so much power that he could destroy everything in a single flick of his wrist.

"Yes Chaos?" I ask and he smiles slightly

"Are you ready for the fight of your life? This will not be like last time, this time is much more serious, I have reason to believe that Gaea will be awoken this time around and if that happens, I cannot help you in anyway shape or form" He said and I nodded slightly

"We will stand by Olympus until we are all dead, we will not go down without a fight, that much is damn certain" I declared and he smiled as he snapped his fingers

"I just transported Artemis to your chambers on this ship, she will be needed for the upcoming fight, and she has agreed to help, but she wants to be left completely alone so make sure no one disturbs her on this flight please" He said and I nodded

"Of course Chaos, no one will go near her" I said and he smiled again

"Thank you Phoenix" He said before a portal opened up and he stepped through and disappeared

"Phoenix! Lower your rope ladder! The Fifth is boarding your ship!" I heard Katelyn yell over the radio she installed to the ship

I quickly ran over to the edge and dropped the rope ladder and after half an hour the entire fifth cohort was boarded and I pulled the rope ladder up and made my way to the helm as we all started to pull away from the camp.

'The end is near...' I thought to myself as I looked into the distance towards the east 'We're heading to where this pretty much all began... we're heading home, to Greece'
