Lunar's Plight

Giving Arty an Upgrade

Percy's POV:

I pulled back from the kiss and looked into the loving silver eyes of my Arty.

"I love you Percy" Arty said quietly and I smiled

"I love you too" I responded with absolute conviction "Arty, may I see the blade I gave you a while back?"

Artemis extended her hand out and the other crescent blade appeared and I smiled as I sat up, took my bow off after I turned it into its backpack form. I opened the bag and pulled the bottle of magical water that I grabbed from the volcano.

"Why do you need it?" she asked as she handed the weapon to me

I took the weapon and unscrewed the cap of the bottle. I then lightly poured the water onto the blade making sure I kept some water in the bottle.

Artemis watched in fascination as the bright silver blade was purified. The blade became whiter and cleaner and the power increased.

"That's amazing" she whispered as I heard the front door of her temple open

"ARTEMIS!! Come on! Father wants us in the throne room to get ready" I heard Apollo call and Artemis quickly scrambled off of me and grabbed her crescent blade before willing it back onto her wrist

Apollo walked in and stopped short when he saw me sitting next to Artemis on the couch. His eyes narrowed and I held my hands up in surrender.

"Don't shoot!" I exclaimed and I felt Instinct trying to find a way out of this salutation if things went south "I just came over to give Artemis a new bow, one that was created using Aieon metal" I say smoothly and Apollo looks at Artemis who just showed him the beautiful bow that I had created

"How does that bow beat her other one? Her symbol of power to be exact" Apollo said and Artemis looked at me and I smirked

"Well, Aieon has the ability to respond to the amount of power a person has, thus if you gave an Aieon weapon to a child of Hypnos, it would just be a weapon that is indestructible, however, if you give an Aieon weapon to a major God or Goddess then the metal will adapt to the wielder and become stronger" I explain and I look at Apollo "If you can get us to an open clearing, I can give you a demonstration" Apollo considered this before he nodded

"I'm coming with" Artemis said as she grabbed my hand then put a hand on Apollo's shoulder and Apollo flashed us into a large junk yard

'UGH, not this place again' Instinct groaned in frustration and I snickered aloud

"Yeah, I thought you'd find it funny Perseus" Apollo stated and Artemis tensed slightly obviously trying to not correct him

"So, where's my target?" I asked as I summoned Lunar's Light

"Right there" Apollo said as a large robot easily bigger than the Talos I destroyed months ago

"Apollo! That thing will kill him!" Artemis said nervously but I smirked as I spun Lunar's Light in my hand

The automaton turned toward Artemis' voice and unsheathed a large broad sword. It swung the sword at her and I knew I had to act.

"Let the power of the Hunter aid me" I muttered as I stepped in front of a stunned Artemis and held Lunar's Light up and braced

The large sword connected with Lunar's Light and I forced myself to hold my ground. Dust flew up all around the two immortals and myself and I added a bit of power and the dust was blasted away.
