A/N: The car that I'm using has a been customized so it has a back seat that can fit three kids, but still has the same design. just thought I would mention that.
Percy's POV:
After Phoenix dropped me off in Los Angeles, I quickly made my way to DOA Recording Studios. When I step into the building I notice that Charon is wearing a brand-new suit, sunglasses, and a black metal watch. I smile at his new outfit and he smiles back when he notices me.
"Hello Percy. You haven't died yet have you?" Charon asks jokingly
"No, not yet. Just thought I'd pay a friend a visit" I say and Charon chuckles
"So, any particular reason you stopped by my fine establishment?" He asks and I nod
"I'm heading around the country for the next year, I was wondering if you had anyone you'd want at camp." I say and Charon looks at me as he takes off his sunglasses
"Yeah, now that you mention it. I do remember having a few kids around the country. Not many, but a few. If you could get them to camp for me, I will be grateful" Charon admits and I smile
"Don't worry about it. I'll get them there safely, you have a list of places where they are?" I ask and Charon pulls a small note pad and hands it to me
I take the note pad and look over it, there are three names along with addresses and ages. I nod and put the note pad in my pocket before I flip him another Drachma and he smirks.
"Take care Percy" Charon says and I turn around as I'm walking out and I give him a mock salute.
"Will do Charon" I say as I open the door and walk out
As I walk down the street I pull out the piece of paper the taxi driver gave me and memorize the number. I then find a gas station and I use the phone to call the driver.
"Hello? This is Kyle Richman" I hear the driver say
"Hey Kyle, it's Percy, I was wondering if you could pick me up. I'm at the gas station that you dropped me off at" I say
"Yeah, I'll be there in a minute buddy." Kyle says as I hang up and give the phone back then I go outside and wait for Kyle
After a moment, a familiar looking taxi pulls up to me and Kyle opens up the passenger side door.
"Hey Kyle" I say as I climb in and close the door
"Hey Percy, so where too?" Kyle asks and I smirk
"You and I are going shopping for a new car. Then I was wondering if you could take me on a yearlong cross-country road trip" I say and Kyle looks at me surprised but smiles
"Alright, let's go get an upgrade" Kyle puts the car in drive as I buckle up and drives away from the gas station
(A few hours later)
Kyle and I walk out of a clothing store wearing black pants, black boots, jackets, and sunglasses. We walked to a black Dodge Challenger and we climbed in before buckling up and closing the doors. Kyle then drove out of the parking lot.
