I do What I Want, When I Want, How I Please

Artemis' POV:

"H-He should have died" I heard Annabeth say in shock

Apparently, Perseus heard that as he turned and faced the girl.

"Takes a lot more than falling off Olympus to kill me Brainiac" Perseus said in a casual tone as he walked over to my throne and held out a hand "May I finish this dance Milady?" He said with a soft smile that caused me to smile as well

By this point, I had stopped glowing but still felt more powerful for some odd reason

"Of course," I responded as I took his hand and let him lead me to the center of the throne room

As we reached the middle of the throne room, a slow song had started playing and I put my hands-on Perseus, shoulders and looked into the depths of his sea green eyes as he put his hands on my waist and looked back at me. I kept looking at Perseus' eyes and I remembered one time when we were on Olympus and we were dancing just like this.

(Flashback)

I was slow dancing with Percy in the middle of the night in the Throne room with no one else around. I stared in his eyes and I was instantly transfixed.

"Are you going to stare at me all night Arty?" Percy asked and I blushed

"N-No!" I stuttered as I hid my face in his chest

Once my blush went away I kept my head on Percy's chest and moved closer to him.

"Thank you for dancing with me Percy" I said quietly as I closed my eyes and took in the scent of the sea that Percy gave off

"I'd do anything for you Arty" He said before I felt him smile "If it were possible, I would even come back from the dead just to protect you" he said finally and I shook my head

"No, you won't die, you're too stubborn to die." I said and he chuckled

"Yeah, well just remember, if I do somehow die" He said and I felt a tear roll down my cheek and onto his shirt "I will come back for you, and the fates can go to Tartarus if they think that they can tell me what to do. I do what I want, when I want, how I please" he said as I smiled

"Thank you, Percy," I say finally and we spend the rest of the night just in the throne room dancing

(Flashback End)

I come back to my senses as I hear someone who sounds like my brother clearing his throat. However, I quickly understand why I didn't hear anything except the music that was playing. My head was resting on Perseus' chest and I felt my face heat up slightly as I quickly step back and take my head off of his chest.

"What do you think you're doing with my sister Demigod?" I heard Apollo growl and I half expected Perseus to throw my brother off of Olympus

"I'm dancing with her, isn't it obvious" Perseus retorted and I rolled my eyes

"I see that, but why did you pull her closer and force her to lay her head on your chest?" Apollo spat and I turned around and faced him

"He didn't force me to do anything Apollo" I replied coldly

"I guess I wore out my welcome then" I hear Perseus state calmly and I turn to him to see him walking to the edge of Olympus

"What are you doing? Get back here Demigod" Apollo snarled as he jumped out of his throne, pulled his bow off his back and notched an arrow "You will regret hugging my sister" Apollo drew the arrow back and it glowed a fiery yellow before releasing it at Perseus

The entire council jumped out of their thrones and acted as quick as possible but I knew it was too late for the young hero. That is until I saw Perseus move faster than one of my father's master bolts could travel. Perseus summoned his bow into his hands before notching an arrow and I saw the arrow glow a bright silver before he launched it. Had I not been watching Perseus I would have missed this action since it happened so quickly. The two arrows hit each other and a large explosion emanated from the point of contact.

"Percy!" I heard my Lieutenant yell out and I froze on the spot

If I hadn't been around Zoe for millennia I would have mistaken her voice for Thalia's as the two aren't too different. And I normally wouldn't be concerned about her yelling out someone's name because she does that whenever someone she cares about is almost killed. However, I expected her to yell out Perseus, not 'Percy'.

"Is that all you have" I heard the familiar voice of Perseus and I watched as the dust cleared and saw him out of his black and silver suit and back into his normal clothing, which was by far anything but normal with the wolf pelt over his head

"How are you still alive?" Apollo asked in confusion

"Because I will go out on my own terms" Perseus said confidently "And remember this Lord Apollo, I would never take advantage of any woman. My mother raised me to respect women and not to be like my awful step dad the walrus." Perseus spat out and I remembered the disgusting male "So I would never force any woman, much less Lady Artemis, to do anything" Perseus finished and the entire council and even the Guardians watched Perseus turn around and look over Olympus

"I'm sorry..." Apollo muttered and Perseus turned around and smiled

"Your Apollo-gie is accepted" He said and Apollo cracked a smile as he shouldered his bow "But I'm still heading to my cabin, I'm tired as Hypnos" Perseus declared as he faced the council and my eyes widened

"You better not Jump" I heard Justice say and Perseus smirked

"Don't tell me what to do aight?" Perseus said before his eyes flicked to me and stayed there "I do what I want, when I want, how I please" And with that Perseus jumped off of Olympus with a backflip before he swan-dived down and out of sight

Everyone ran to the edge except for me, I stood where I was, frozen on the phrase he said when a sudden realization hit me and a small smile played on my lips.

"He is in so much trouble" I muttered to myself as I walked to my throne and Zoe holds her hand out to Phoenix who grumbles and pulls a ten-dollar bill out and gives it to her

I walked up to Zoe who had a smug face on her lips and I chuckled.

"Milady, what shall we do now?" Zoe asked and I looked at her

"Let's just go to the hunt and get some rest, holding the sky is very tiring" I say deciding to keep my realization a secret as it still only is coincidental, the reason being how was he able to hold the sky with me and help the quest

'Well, one question at a time, I'm sure there is a good reason for this' I think to myself as I grab Phoenix, Thalia, and Zoe and flash back to camp where I just barely notice the door to Cabin Three close and I smile slightly

"Let's get some rest, we have another game of capture the flag with the campers tomorrow" I declare and Zoe nods

"Yeah, we need to win this time" Zoe complains and Thalia sticks her tongue out at Zoe

"You're just a sore loser Nightshade" Thalia mocks as I open the door to my cabin and walk in before finding my bunk and just laying down the smile on my face never fading

'He kept to his word if this is true' I think to myself as I drift into the realm of Morpheus

A/N: So, how is it? I know it's short but think of it this way, I now am able to start on the Colosseum match. And yes I know it's not up to par with my other chapters but again, I wanted to move onto the next book soon.
