My mind was racing. I didn't know if Amelia was okay. Or what was wrong with her. My heart was pounding more and more. 

Everything became blurry. I realized the tears that started to run down my cheek.  I couldn't imagine my life without her. She was one of the only few people that I held near and dear to my heart.

She was older then me but I always saw her as a younger sister of mine.  She means the entire world to me. When we were growing up it was always her and I against the world. I know that people drift apart sometimes due to not being able to see one another but when were together it feels as if we last saw each other yesterday. 

If the vampires had something to do with this I am going to kill them. I am going to destroy them and hurt the one who hurt her. More then hurt give them eternal pain.

We had reached the hospital at last. Most of the time it was packed and full of people. But now it was deadly silent. Something was off.

Emerson lead me to the ICU (Intensive care unit). Tears that I were holding back threatened to come back out once again. It felt as if I was holding an entire dam back. I had to be strong for Amelia. 

I saw my mom. We had walked over to her. She was the head doctor of the ICU unit. As she is also third of command, she was a healer back in her old pack in the Philippines. This gave us an advantage most of the time because she was able to heal immediately. 

"Mama what had happened." I said finally realizing that I was gripping Emerson's had hard I now loosen my grip. 

"She's unconscious right now. A vampire had infiltrated the pack boundary from no mans land. He was running searching for you probably and found Amelia along with Alpha Lucas. Alpha Lucas and the vampire were fighting but he was about to sneak up behind Lucas and Amelia had blocked it and absorb the hit. Immediately Lucas ripped his head off and rushed him here." She said tears in her eyes. Her nose was also red and she was gripping her clipboard.  Amelia was a second daughter to mama. Amelia had her dad here in our pack but he had gained an early symptom of Alzheimer. And her mother, my moms sister, had died giving birth to Amelia. 

"Can we see her mom?"

"Yes shes stable right now. Alpha Lucas is there as well." She had said giving Emerson and I a combined hug.  "Also shes pregnant." 

"Shes pregnant?" my mind was in shock. 

Amelia was pregnant? Shes gonna be a mom? I'm going to be a aunt? At the beginning of the war? 

"Is the baby okay?" I asked. Now my mind went to the baby. Is it a she or he? Is she or he okay? 

"The baby is perfectly okay. She just found out her and Lucas are going to have their first child." she said smiling with tears in her eyes.

I nodded and gave her a quick hug before lightly knocking.

"Come in." a small voice said.

I walked in to see Amelia and Alpha Lucas holding onto one another and Alpha Lucas looking at her stomach with awe.

"Cuzzo congrats." I said to her hugging her and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Lu you don't even know how excited I am to have this little bundle of joy." She said looking down onto her stomach. I couldn't help but envy what they had. They had a mate bond. My heart ached.

It'll be okay Lu....be patient

"Alpha Lucas and Luna Amelia congrats for your little bundle coming." Emerson said while giving Alpha Lucas a man hand shake while keeping an arm wrapped around my shoulder.

"I see you and Lu are still close as ever." Alpha Lucas said raising an eye at Emerson and I. 

"Of course Alpha Lucas and I wouldn't want it any other way." he said while looking down on me.

The last couple of days I've realized that Emerson's been acting more different and that my feelings for him have started to change. I knew I had depended on him before. He was my only friend and accepted me for who I am instead of what I was born as. But I have been needing his presences more and more as of late. My feelings of for Emerson started to change to more then just my best-est right hand man. But into someone I craved. 

"Alpha Lucas you know I'd be lost without Emerson in my life."

Emerson looked down on Lu. Only his parents and her parents knew they were mates. Along with Amelia as well. They wanted him to tell her but as he was going too she had stated to him she was leaving The thought of her being away from him ripped his heart out. He wanted to always be with her. And to always protect her.  But if she leaves I won't be able to do that. Our bond is strong as well and I wouldn't know what to do without her in my life. I started to think of what would happen without her. 

All the danger she would be in and me not being there for her would break my heart. And I think I have to tell her soon when it comes to me and her being mates. Being mates I feel our bond growing more and more. 

"Amelia and I are excited for our next child." Alpha Lucas had said.

"I am so excited for your next child coming do you know if its a boy or a girl?" Lu had asked.  

"We don't know yet its to soon to know about the babies gender."Amelia said looking down on her belly. 

"Are you okay though Amelia I heard what happened with the vampire." I asked her and immediately saw that Alpha Lucas tense up and look away. 

"I'm okay guys I started to panic and I had pain with my stomach which is probably because of the baby but Lucas was there to protect me at least." she said rubbing his arm calming him down.

"Everyone is starting to get on high alert and more alphas are preparing for war. Lu I think we need you for this you and also Rowan could lead us." Alpha Lucas had said.

"Who is  Rowan?" Lu asked.

" Rowan is one of the strongest vampire in all of America. He is in Alpha Aden's pack." he had explained

Lu then thought about her conversation with Alpha Aden. He had mentioned that Rowan is he vampire he mentioned about me training with the vampire in his pack. 

"I will talk to Alpha Aden and the rest of the Alphas when they all come. But I need to talk about what were going to do with the upcoming war." Lu had told Alpha Lucas. 

They had spoke some more mostly about the baby that's coming and what color they're going to the paint the room. But Emerson couldn't help but think about Lu having his baby. It brought a smile to his face and thinking about their mate bond blossoming even more warmed his heart. 

"We gotta go though Lu." Emerson said to Lu seeing that it was getting kind of dark. 

"Yeah Amelia I think you need to rest as well." Alpha Lucas had said.

"See you later Amelia I'll talk to you later? Okay once you get out of the bathroom we'll talk more and catch up okay?"  Lu asked her.

"See you Amelia be safe okay?" Emerson said to her 

"I will be okay guys don't worry and Lu you know we're going to talk more and more." Amelia said.

As they got into the car Emerson started to drive he turned to Lu and said....

hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been updating of late I've been doing a lot of homework since I got some exams coming up next week but stay in tune for another upcoming chapters!
