"You know that my parents are too much for throwing this ball tonight that I don't even want to go to." she scoffed.
"Common Lu they use to have cotillions back in the Philippines where your mom is from. She wanted you to have what she couldn't" He said giving her a look. The common just do it look.
Em was right. Her mom grew up in the Philippines and during that time there was a war between the wolves and the vampires. The war began when mom was 10 and lasted for a good 15 years. The werewolves won that fight thankfully. My mom was the too old to have a ball anymore. But through the war her mom was the leading warrior in the fight. The strongest one in the Philippines. She then came to America to teach some packs how to fight and to get stronger. And then she met dad by accident when he was trying to con her friend and she almost beat him into a pulp. Well as you know the rest is history...
"I know its just the dress she gave me doesn't feel like me."
"Lu" Emerson said with a strong voice.

"Honey happy birthday!" her mom burst in starling Lu who was putting her plate in the sink.
"Happy birthday princess" her dad said engulfing her in a hug along with her mom.
"Can I join this hug so I'm not so lonely!" Emerson said.
"Common son." Her dad said grabbing him.
"Honey are you excited for your party? Everyone coming from everywhere. Even your Tita Josie from the Philippines! Even your Tito June from California is coming to your birthday." Her mom said in excrement since she hasn't seen her sibling for a couple of months.
( ALSO tito and tita are terms in Tagalog aka the Philippines official language. And I am Filipino so I wanted to spread some knowledge on somethings that not everyone knows of! tito means uncle and tita means aunt but in terms of respect.)
"I know mom I can't wait to see them. I miss them a lot. Is aunty may coming dad??"
"You know she wouldn't miss it for anything my dear."
Having a dad from Columbia and a mom from the Philippines means my family is about 10000 people. And having some warlocks and witches along with werewolves around is gonna be a long night.

Lu hasn't felt this stressed out before till now. Her mom was running about trying to make it the most beautiful ball in the world. Lu hasn't seen anything or how it looks because her mom wanted to surprise her. It was as if it was her wedding that she was getting a sneak peak of. She just told her mom she wanted the theme to be black and white.
