Dada ji and Swamini who were upset with Viren for refusing to get engaged were excited to hear him; they somehow didn't feel right about him hurting Jeevika. They rebuked him for taking decisions in a rush and had sent him to the guest house to apologize to Jeevika's family and her, Manvi shook her head seeing Viren rushing out of the door, she knew that Jeevika would understand his dilemma.

"Manvi..." Swamini took hold of her hand with a grateful smile,

"Haan aunty,"

"Thanks beta..." Manvi shook her head but Swamini silenced her, "No, I cant say how important was it for someone to talk to him, he must appear to be the silent and responsible person, but he is so impulsive when it comes to Virat, we didn't know how we were going to make him understand, Di was already upset and..." Swamini sighed,

"I know aunty, Where's Vanshika aunty?"

"She was with Padmini..."

"Can I go check?"

"Of course beta, on the mean time I'll go and check on Virat... Wonder what he is up to..." Swamini smiled and walked off to the different direction as Manvi stood staring at nothing in particular, talking about Virat... She was quite confused with his reaction in all these happenings, wasn't he feeling even a tad bit sad?' the more she was starting to look at his other side, the more she was getting confused, she always thought that he was distant with his family because they sent him away, but she also saw the love he had for them behind that despair, but why isn't he forgiving them even after so many years, even after so many efforts from their side to make it all right? The Vadhera family looked so perfect from outside but the relationships were so fragile and damaged that it looked as if it was going to fall apart, and no one would be able to put it together.

...

Finally it was the day, the engagement ceremony was to start at 6 in the evening and the Vadhera house was filled with guests from the morning, Manvi had only participated in the chores after her college and was sad that Pooja had to leave with her parents to visit her grandparents for the weekend.

Padmini was sorting out all of their dresses for the evening as Manvi huffed and puffed,

"Manvi... What is this? You are not a baby now... get used to go to places and mingle with people without Pooja," Padmini was starting to get angry with Manvi's behavior,

"But mama..." Manvi was in a mood to be nurtured,

"Manvi," Padmini frowned at her,

Manvi who was disappointed with her mother made a face as she entered the bathroom to have a bath, it was time to get dressed for the occasion.

Prakash who came home early to give a hand in the preparations, was waiting for Padmini to accompany him,

"She had finally gone, I don't think she is going to come out any sooner, we should leave, let her join us," Padmini passed the his outfit,

"Why are you being so strict with her these days, Bachchi hai..."

"Please ji, stop saying that, woh ab ek choti bachchi nahi rahi... she has grown up and we need to be careful with her,"

Prakash narrowed his eyes at her, "You think that she'll do something like Sheena?" he finally came a conclusion,

Padmini sighed but didn't oppose,

"What is wrong with you Padmini? The way we brought Manvi was different form how Bhaiya brought up Sheena, we have always been open with her, so I don't think that she'll hide anything from us... she asks what she needs from us," Prakash defended,
