An Answer

'I hope this war is over quickly' I said mentally as my mind started to wonder to thoughts that a maiden goddess shouldn't ever have

A few months later
Percy's POV:

I stood on a field looking out towards the horizon waiting for anything to show up. A day ago, I had gotten a message from a Leo Valdez saying that he was bringing a warship to New Rome and said that it was not an act of war. I sighed as I crossed my arms and waited next to Artemis, Zoe, and Reyna as we stood in front of the legion. The past few months have been blissful, no attacks, and no assassinations, though it did feel like the Fates were waiting for the right moment to say 'HA SCREW YOU!'.

'We all know it's going to happen' Instinct said and I sighed mentally

'I know but don't jinx it dude' I chided and Iota cleared his throat

'Ship!' Iota yelled and I focused back on the Horizon and saw a bright glint of bronze in the distance

"They brought a war ship! The Greeks must not be trusted! Ready the Ballista!" An annoying voice called out but was quickly silenced as I heard Thalia and Phoebe grab him and cover his mouth in duct tape

"Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver" Thalia said proudly as the ship came into view and a blast of green exploded on the deck and I sighed

"I'll handle this" I said tiredly as I crouched low and jumped up using moonlit step to appear in the air at the edge of the ship

I extended my left hand and my hookblade before hoisting myself up onto the deck where I saw Annabeth, a blond haired kid, a girl with an eagle feather in her hair, and a Latino boy who looked vaguely familiar. I also saw Terminus who was yelling in outrage causing me to sigh.

"Enough!" I ordered and everyone went silent

"Percy!? How did you get up here?" Annabeth asked and I looked at her

"I thought you would know this by now" I said amused "I'm Percy Jackson" I said and Annabeth rolled her eyes

"Right, well, time to get Luke up here" She said when the far door opened and said person walked out and rushed me before tackling me in a hug

"PERCY! YOUR ALRIGHT!!" He shouted and I laughed as I pried myself free from his embrace

"Yes Luke I'm alright, and Terminus, these people are clear to land, they mean no harm" I said and Terminus growled

"I will not allow a WARSHIP to land on Roman Soil!" He shouted and I glared at him

"Let them land" A voice said and I looked to the side and saw Artemis standing next to me glaring at Terminus

"Very well, but if they attack" He started before glaring at me "It's on your heads"

"They won't attack" I said and Artemis nodded before glaring at the others

"I won't attack" Annabeth said as she put her dagger on the ground an action that was followed by the three new people and Luke

"Very well, now get down on the ground!" Terminus said and a rope ladder was tossed to the ground and they all started going down

"Percy you coming?" Annabeth said as she reached the ladder and I smirked as I looked at the edge

"I have my own way of getting down" I said as I ran to the edge and jumped off causing several screams of surprise

'Oh look at their faces!' Instinct said while howling with laughter

'Brilliant!' Iota agreed while chuckling as I flipped in the air and landed on the ground in a kneeling position while Dakota and the other Centurions of the Cohorts except for one all looked at each other

"Ten points!" Dakota yelled which was quickly followed by slightly lower numbers

"Next time stick the landing" Reyna said and I laughed

"Of course" I said as Artemis flashed next to me as I stood up and held her hand as the Latino was the first one to hit the ground and he came running up to me

"Name's Leo Valdez! I was the one that yelled out the third degree burn thing back at Westover" He said and I cracked a large smile

"Dude, that was brilliant!" I said as I let go of Artemis and shook his hand "Name's Percy Jackson" He nodded and smiled a wild smile as fire sparked across his hair

"I think we're going to be great friends" He announced causing the cohorts to laugh before they went dead silent as the blond haired boy reached the ground and walked over

"Jason Grace" Reyna said formally

"Reyna" He responded and Reyna smiled slightly

"Welcome back" she said and Octavian broke free of the hunters and ripped the duct tape off of his mouth

"This is preposterous, we can't have three praetors! There will be an imbalance of power!" He shouted and I glared at him

"Well, good thing that situations like that take a while to resolve because until then it looks like both Jason and I can both tell you to shut up" I said and Jason laughed as we fist bumped

"Why don't you go help set up the feast oh powerful augur" Artemis said and Octavian growled before stomping off and I turned to a guy who looked like he could take down a cyclops in a single move

"Hey, Leonid, keep an eye on him just in case he plans on poisoning the food again" I said and he nodded before walking off cracking his knuckles

"Now, where to begin?" I said as the others made it over and surrounded us

"How about the beginning" Annabeth said and I laughed

"Alright" I responded before starting the long explanation 

A/N: I'm back, and yes, I know it was short, I needed to get back into the flow of things while my gaming pc is fixed. I have been playing Final Fantasy far too much and I am proud of that lol. Anyway, until next time my fellow demigods and demigoddesses, take care!
